The shrine is the
ancestral home of

EmilioAguinaldo, the
first president of the

was first built in 1845

thatch, and
reconstructed in 1849. It
was in this home where
the general was born on
March 22, 1869.
CORREGIDOR ISLAND
Corregidor Island,
rocky island, strategically
located at the entrance of
Manila Bay, just south of
Bataan province, Luzon,
Philippines. It is a national
shrine commemorating the
battle fought there by U.S.
and Filipino forces against
overwhelming numbers of
Japanese during World War
II.
TAGAYTAY

component city in
Cavite province.
Tagaytay is one of the

PUERTO PRINSESA UNDERGROUND RIVER

The Puerto Princesa


Subterranean River National
Park is a protected area of
the Philippines located about 80
kilometres (50 mi) north of the
city centre of Puerto
Princesa, Palawan. The river is
also called Puerto Princesa
Underground River.
CORON, PALAWAN
El Nido (officially
the Municipality of El Nido) is
a first
class municipality and managed
resource protected area in
the province of Palawan in
the Philippines. It is about 420
kilometres (260 mi) south-west
of Manila, and about 238
kilometres (148 mi) north-east
of Puerto Princesa, Palawan’s
capital. It is known for its
white-sand beaches, coral
reefs, limestone cliffs and as the
gateway to the Bacuit
archipelago.
PALAWAN
PUERTO GALERA
The name Puerto Galera is
Spanish for “Port of the
Galleons.” For centuries, trading
vessels would drop the anchor
off the shores of this place on the
northeastern coast of Mindoro
Island. Puerto Galera is well
known for its numerous scuba
diving spots; the area was
designated a Man and
Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO
in 1973 and has some of the
most diverse coral reef diving in
Asia located at the very heart of
the ‘Coral Triangle’. Its coral reefs
house about 60 percent of the
world’s shore fish

BICOL REGION
MAYON VOLCANO

Mayon Volcano also known


as Mount Mayon or simply Mayon, is
an active stratovolcano in
the province of Albay in Bicol Region,
on the island of Luzon in
the Philippines. Renowned as the
"perfect cone" because of
its symmetric conical shape, the
volcano and its surrounding
landscape was declared a national
park on July 20, 1938, the first in the
nation.

WESTERN VISAYAS
BORACAY Boracay is a small island in
the Philippines located
approximately 315 km (196 mi)
south of Manila and 2 km off the
northwest tip of Panay
Island in Western
Visayas region of
the Philippines. Boracay Island
and its beaches have received
awards from numerous travel
publications and agencies.The
island comprises
the barangays of Manoc-Manoc,
Balabag, and Yapak in the
municipality of Malay, in Aklan
Province. The island is
administered by the Philippine
Tourism Authority and the
provincial government of Aklan.

MAGELLAN’S CROSS
Magellan's Cross is a Christian
cross planted
by Portuguese and Spanish exp
lorers as ordered by Ferdinand
Magellan upon arriving
in Cebu in the Philippines on
March 15 , 1521.
This cross is housed in
a chapel next to the Basilica
Minore del Santo Niño on
Magallanes Street (Magalhaes
is the Portuguese name of
Magellan), just in front of the
city center of Cebu City.

• From the Central Cordillera Mountain Range, the largest
in the Philippines, six provinces and one chartered city
make up the Cordillera Administrative Region—Apayao,

Baguio is the gateway to the
wonders of Northern Luzon: the
calm beaches of La Union; the

Pangasinan; the world famous

cultural relics of Ilocos Sur and

SAGADA
Sagada is a town in the
Cordillera Mountains,
within the Philippines’
Mountain Province. Echo
Valley’s hanging coffins are
displayed high on cliffs,
while centuries-old coffins
are stacked in burial sites
like Lumiang Cave. The
nearby Sumaguing Cave
has unusual limestone
formations. To the north,
Bomod-ok Falls has a
natural swimming pool.

Terraces (Filipino:
Hagdan-hagdang Palayan
ng Banawe) are
2,000-year-oldterraces that
were carved into the
mountains of Ifugao in the
Philippines by ancestors of
the indigenous people.
The Rice Terraces are
commonly referred to as the
"Eighth Wonder of the
World".
