CONCLUSIONS
We can say that the government here in the Philippines is showing its interest to good
corporate governance, why? It’s because Philippines remains No.1 in southeast for
budget transparency and transparency is one of the major components of having a
good corporate governance, Securities and exchange commission provides many
memos regarding governance that should be followed and complied by corporations,
office of the president itself establish an agency that focuses on corporate governance
and overall governance, education departments such as CHED included a subject that
focuses in corporate governance and how students can apply it to business world, also
the Philippines participated in a corporate governance assessment with leading
agencies. We also have the CGS or corporate governance scorecard wherein it serves
as a rating system of a corporate governance designed to raise the standards of
corporate governance practices.
