REFLECTION

1. THE GREATEST GOOD

Cliché as it sounds but it is love that makes the world go round. Every good
and worthy virtue stems from it. A sample is compassion, which stems from love
for others and for yourself.

Love is hard though, for love is an act not just mere promises or words. The
best love is one balanced with radical kind and tolerance. Radical enough to
make changes but tolerant enough to grant understanding and compassion.

You can see this in our relationship with God but God’s love has an
unconditional factor rarely seen in the world and if found usually came from our
family. You see love in humans usually stems from conditions granted,
unconditional love that’s rare and takes time and a lot of heart aches to procure.

Our relationship with God is built on his unconditional love for us. He tolerates
our faults and shortcomings but encourages us to grow but always at our own
pace and our choice.

Love is seen in the world in the way our family cares for us, the concern our
friends have for us, the compassion and empathy we feel for the members of our
community.

As such love is everywhere, the common commodity and truly the greatest
good as it heals and sustain every being in this planet.
2. THE VIRTUE OF TEMPERENCE

The first step to wisdom is to know one’s self and change begins in
you. Ever wondered the meaning of such thoughts?

Temperance can clearly explain why such things are thought of. A
man in control of one’s passions, ambitions and emotions and balances
such things is sure to achieve his goal in life is sure to achieve great
things.

When you are following the virtue of temperance you can become the
master of yourself, mastery of self means mastery of your emotions and
vices.

You see emotions and vices can make or break a person. Having
control over such shall determine the success of both your relationships
and ambitions.

A man has to be in control so that he cannot be easily swayed by his

emotions or vices so as he’ll be able to reach his dreams.

Practice temperance in everything you do not just because of your

dreams but also to gain good relationships and live life with less regrets.

3. MEN HAVE FORGOTTEN GOD

A devout friend of mine had once told me that busyness is one of the sins of
Christians and that person was telling the hard truth.

In this modern world, where every convenience has been handed to use and
science keeps making discoveries and solutions for problems that used to plague our
ancestors had made most of us forget God’s existence.
God’s commandments alone are seemingly forgotten in this modern world. The
Bible rarely read and mass with lesser attendees or inconsistent attendance. This is
the problem of the world.

Our success in improving our lives and living it had made us forget the one who
gave us such lives and blessings.

We forget to say grace, we forget to be grateful and we forget to make time to

God. But God had never forgotten us.

Man may leave, man may forget but God never does. And as such, we should
spend whether a minute or an hour in His presence stating our thanks for all the
blessings the Father has given to us.
