Poor Workmanship
•The contractor fails to follow the installation
instructions from the manufacturer and the
engineer.
•There is close to zero monitoring of the work done
by the laborers and mason. If there is monitoring
involved, it is being done loosely.

Improper Installation
•Without the monitoring, problems arise from
improper installation of pipes and connections
•For sanitary works, clogging may occur if the
connection of the fittings are right-angled or the
alignment of the taps are lacking.
•Pipes may not be clean when installation was done.

Corrective Action/ Remedial Measures
•Inspect the sanitary works and look for defective works.
•Check if the work done is according to the specifications.
Look for defective works that are needed to be replaced
or rectified.
•Require contractor to rectify defective works and conduct
another test until such time that is passes the
requirements.
•Defer payment of accomplishment until the contractor
complied with the requirements
