PICNIC AT THE BEACH
INTRODUCTION PART
Fathiya, Raisa, and Faiza: Hey guys!
Fathiya: My name is Fathiya Alifia Bustamam.
Raisa: My name is Raisa At Thahirah.
Faiza: And my name is Faiza Zayya Mirza.
Fathiya, Raisa, and Faiza: We are from The Dalica Group!
Fathiya: Because, I’m from Darussalam.
Raisa: I’m from Jeulingke.
Faiza: And I’m from Cadek.
Raisa: Please enjoy our short drama with the title “Picnic at The Beach”.
(Fathiya and Raisa are shopping in a minimarket to prepare for their picnic with Faiza
tomorrow)
Fathiya: Do you remember what else we need to buy?
Raisa: I think we need some drinks.
Fathiya: What kind of drink do you want?
Raisa: Mm... Some kind of soda? Coca Cola or Sprite
Fathiya: Maybe…Coca Cola it is then
(The both of them are walking to the food alley)
Raisa: Is there anything else you would like to buy here, Fathiya?
Fathiya: I want to buy this, this, and… This. And… Umm, wait! And that one!
Raisa: Uuh... Sure, I will just take this one.
(They continue to walk to the cashier, but suddenly, Fathiya stops Raisa)
Fathiya: Hey, are you sure these are all we need to buy?
Raisa: Well, the carpet is going to be brought by Faiza, the snacks and drinks will be brought
by us, while the plates and the cups are also going to be brought by Faiza, right?
Fathiya: I think so... Well, okay, let's pay our items?
Raisa: (Nods)
(After Fathiya and Raisa payed their items)
Fathiya: Wait, what about for breakfast? These snacks won’t be eaten by us for breakfast,
right?
Raisa: Are you sure you’re going to be full with only those?
Fathiya: Mm… No, I don’t think so.
Raisa: Then, that’s your answer.
Fathiya: Fine. The rice for breakfast will be brought by me.
Raisa: Ok, see you tomorrow!
Fathiya: See you!
(At the beach)
Faiza: What a lovely day to have a picnic at the beach.
Raisa: (trying to spread out a carpet) I get that you're excited, but this carpet will not be
spread out by itself, you know?
Faiza: I’m sorry... Come here, let me help you. (Finally giving a help)
Faiza: By the way, where's Fathiya?
Raisa: Who knows? Maybe she's still on her way?
Faiza: Do you know with whom Fathiya will come?
Raisa: Well, she told me that she will be driven here by her sister.
Faiza: Oh… I see...
Raisa: Oh yeah, the cups are brought by you, aren’t they? Where did you put them?
Faiza: They are in a plastic bag right next to you.
Raisa: Oh! Found it!
(Faiza and Raisa continue to prepare for their little picnic. Then Faiza pulls out another
plastic bag)
Raisa: What is that?
Faiza: It’s our breakfast.
Raisa: But, our breakfast will be brought by Fathiya!
Faiza: Eh?
Raisa: How many portions did you buy?
Faiza: Eh… Three portions for us.
Raisa: And now I bet another 3 portions are going to be brought by Fathiya who is still on
her way. Who’s gonna eat all those food?
Faiza: Well, our families are there (Pointing at another cottage)
Raisa: Oh yeah! You’re right.
(Faiza then gives the rice for the families and Fathiya arrives not long after)
Fathiya: Hey!
Faiza: Fathiya! You’re finally here!
Fathiya: I’m sorry I’m a bit late. The traffic is terrible.
Raisa: It’s alright. Come here and sit down.
Fathiya: Oh, wait! The rice! I forgot the rice! The rice is still in my car.
Raisa: Don’t worry. Let’s grab it together, okay?
(The three of them then walk to Fathiya’s car)
Faiza: Raisa, yesterday, I heard that the both of you went shopping together, right?
Raisa: Yeah, we went shopping together to buy some food.
Faiza: Yeah, I saw that you bought some lot of snacks
Raisa: Oh yeah, and I also found a sleepy cat
Faiza: A sleepy cat?
(They take the rice for breakfast from Fathiya’s car and then go back to their cottage to
finally have breakfast)
(After they finished eating, they begin to walk around)
Faiza: Hey, do you guys want to play stone skipping?
Fathiya: Sure, why not?
Raisa: Can I be the first one to try?
Faiza: Of course, go ahead.
(Raisa then begins to pick a flat stone and throw it to the water surface. After that, the three
begin to throw stones in an irregular order. But the most they can make is three skips. But
suddenly a stone makes it to the fourth skip)
Faiza: The stone that just made the most skips was thrown by you, right?
Fathiya: Really? I didn’t see that…
Raisa: Hey, sorry to interrupt, but are we going into the water or not?
Faiza: Of course, we are. Let’s go!
Fathiya: Nah… You guys can go, but I’m just going to stay here.
Raisa: Okay, you’re missing the fun.
Fathiya: Sorry…
(Faiza and Raisa then leave Fathiya)
Fathiya: If only they knew just how much fun it is to read a book at a beach like this.
(As Raisa and Faiza are playing with the water while Fathiya enjoying reading her book,
this story comes to an end)
