    REFLECTIVE ESSAY
    Imagine yourself as one of the checkers of the DAMA game and your struggles/problems as your
    opponent. What strategies will you apply to reach the opposite side of the checkerboard to gain a king or to
    win the game? What will you do to reach your goals despite of the hindrances that you are facing?
    In at least 100-150 words, explain your answer.

    As a beginner DAMA gamer/checker, I guess the best strategies or ways that I can do to

    reach the opposite side of the checkerboard to win the game successfully is first by focusing on

    crowning more pieces than my opponent. Through advancing a piece toward an area on my board

    where my opponent has fewer pieces or more spread-out pieces. And if I can protect this piece

    with nearby pieces and sacrifices, then I have a good chance at making a king. Next is keeping my

    back row in place until I need to move those checkers. I know that I won't be able to keep my back

    row intact forever. But once I'm low on pieces or see an opportunity for an advantageous trade,

    that's the perfect time for me not to hesitate to move out. Next is trading checkers when I'm ahead.

    For example, if I have five checkers and my opponent has 4, the board is almost equal. But once I

    trade three pieces each, I have a massive advantage with twice as many pieces as my opponent.

    The last strategy that I could do is control the center of the board. If I keep a few pieces near the

    center, I will keep my options open and move rapidly to whichever side of the board needs my

    attention. Likewise, preventing my opponent from placing the pieces in the center will deny them

    this advantage. So, I guess the following strategies I've shared will be helpful for me and others to

    win the game. And I hope that as we play this game we get to enjoy, relax and have fun!

    Nowadays, our world is so rude to us, so let's try to make time to pause and enjoy this given life

    that God gave us.
