Pengertian Comparison Degree

Subject 1 + V + more + adverb + than + Subject 2 + V

Degree of comparison digunakan untuk menunjukkan perbandingan. Dalam Comparison
Degree, adjective (kata sifat) atau adverb (kata keterangan) akan mengalami perubahan bentuk
sesuai dengan tingkatan perbandingannya. Contoh:

1. Positive degree (sama)  John walks faster than Jane does.

Pola 1 (menggunakan to be)  Rina run more slowly than nana does.
Subject 1 + to be + as adjective as + Subject 2
3. Superlative Degree (paling)
Contoh: Pola 1
Subject + to be + the + adjective + est + o
 Nada is as beautiful as Clara.
 This class is as big as that class. Subject + to be + the + most + adjective + o

Pola 2 (menggunakan verb)

Subject 1 + V + as adverb as + Subject 2 + V Contoh:
 This drawing is the best in the class.
Contoh:  He is the smartest student.
 Yolan is the most beautiful girl.
 Jae runs as fast as John does.  Your house is the most luxurious house in this area.
 Mita speaks as calmly as Mona does.

Pola 1 ( menggunakan to be)
1 atau 2 suku kata
Subject 1 + to be + adjective + er + than + Subject 2
Subject + V + most + adverb + O

Subject 1 + to be + more + adjective + than + Subject 2

Contoh: 2 atau lebih suku
kata Contoh:
 You are prettier than me.
 John runs the fastest of all the runners.
 He is more handsome than me.
 Disa speaks most slowly in class.
 This car is more expensive than that car
