PREPOSITION

PREPOSITION
Word that connects a noun or pronoun with other words in a
sentence. It begins or introduces a prepositional phrase– several
words in a sentence that starts with a preposition and contains a
noun or pronoun along with the modifiers.
EXAMPLE
for him (“him” is the object of the preposition “for”)
inside the dark cave (“cave” is the object of the preposition
“inside”)
before the club members (“members” is the object of the
preposition “before”)

A preposition can state any of the following conditions:

c. Time

Example: Bears sleep during winter.

d. Manner

Example: Open the door with that key.
