Indonesian Satay

Satay is meat skewers that are cooked over


coals. These juicy skewers are usually served
with rice cakes (ketupat) with peanut sauce
poured all over the satay.

One of our favorite desserts would be

Indonesian version of a pancake
Pempek

Last but not least, Pempek. Pempek or


empek-empek is made of fish and tapioca.
It is a Palembang specialty in South
Sumatra. Pempek comes in a variety of
shapes and sizes.
