ACTIONS - some Actions have restrictions on which employees can be used to activate them.

CLAIM THE QUEEN’S FAVOUR


Gain 5 Livre and the Queen’s Favour.
SETUP • You will be 1st player in the next Round.
• The Queen’s Favour is worth an additional 5 VP if held at the end of the game.
1. Place the Game Board on the side for the number of players.
2. Place the Queen’s Favour on the indicated space.
3. Create the Draw Deck: ACQUIRE RESOURCES
i. Shuffle the Level VI Cards and place them in a facedown Draw Deck. 1. Take 1 Resource Tile, paying Livre based on the number of Tiles in its Resource Drawer.
ii. Shuffle the 2 Base Level V Masters with the Level V Jewellery Box Masters. 2. Either keep the Resource Tile as Silk in your Resource Tile Rack or discard it to gain the indicated Lace
iii. Place this Deck facedown next to the Master Examination space of the Jeweller Board. and/or Thread.
iv. Shuffle 2 Cards from this Master Deck with the Base Level V Cards, place face-down on top of the Draw Deck.
v. Shuffle the Level IV Cards, then the Level III Cards facedown on top of the Draw Deck.
vi. Shuffle the 2 Base Level II Journeymen with the Level II Jewellery Box Journeymen. TAILOR A GARMENT
vii. Place this Deck facedown next to the Journeymen Examination space of the Jeweller Board. 1. Choose 1 Garment Tile from the Garment Display and pay the cost below it.
viii. Shuffle 2 Cards from this Journeymen Deck with the Base Level II Cards, place facedown on top of the Draw Deck. 2. Discard the Silk, Lace, and Yarn indicated on the left of the Garment Tile. If the Tile has a Gold Thimble icon
ix. Shuffle the Level I Cards facedown on top of the Draw Deck. then you must use a Master to make the Garment.

6. Shuffle the 10 Specialised Apprentices and deal 1 facedown to each player which they keep separate.
7. Assign a 1st Player, they receive the 1st Player Thimble. ALL HALLS BONUS
As soon as you have a Token on either a Garment or a Musician in all 5 Halls,
immediately place 1 Token onto the most valuable free space of the All Halls Bonus.
GAME PLAY

The game is played over 7 Rounds each consisting of 4 Phases. HIRE A NEW EMPLOYEE
1. Take 1 Employee Card from the Display, paying Livre based on the number of Cards in the Display.
1) PREPARATIONS You may use this Action to hire your starting Assistant for free if you meet their hiring conditions.
2. The Card goes into your Hand to be used later this Round.
1. If a player acquired the Queen’s Favour, return it. They receive the 1st Player Thimble.
2. Discard all Employee Cards from the Game Board and refill from the Draw Deck.
3. Fill up the Resource Display.
DEPUTE THIS EMPLOYEE
4. Discard any Garment Tiles in the 2 rightmost spaces, slide the rest to the right and refill the Garment Display.
1. Gain the Livre indicated on the bottom of the Employee Card you play.
- In Round 1 only, return any Festivity Dresses drawn back to the Garment bag. 2. You may use the Card’s Bonus.
3. Trash the Card from the Game entirely.
5. Discard any Jewellery Tile in the rightmost space, slide the rest to the right and refill the Jewellery Display.

2) SELECT EMPLOYEE CARDS FUND A DECORATION


Place 1 Token on 1 Decoration on the Board and pay the indicated Livre.
Your Staff is every Card in your Employee Pile, Hand, and Discard Pile. Each grants VP during Final Scoring.
1. Choose 3 Action Cards from your Deck to form your Hand.
2. If you’ve less than 3 Cards in your Deck, place them into your Hand then create a new Deck to choose from,
from your Discard Pile. LEFT KITCHEN
Each player may only place here once. Grants income per Decoration in Phase 4.

RIGHT KITCHEN
Take turns clockwise from the Start Player as follows: Each player may only place here once. Grants income per Hired Garment in Phase 4.
1. Play 1 Card face-up from your Hand to your Discard Pile.
2. You may then perform an Action. FIREWORK DISPLAY
3. You may then perform the Card’s Bonus Action. Grants VP for majority and may be used to multiply VP on Garments in the Main Hall.

STATUES
4) RECEIVE INCOME Each grants VP for 1 set of 4 different coloured Hired Garments.

2. Each player gains 1 Livre for each Jewellery Tile they possess. Counts towards the All Halls Bonus, but not majority in each Hall.
3. Each player with a Token in the left side of the Kitchen receives 1 Livre per Decoration they have.
4. Each player with a Token in the right side of the Kitchen receives 1 Livre per Garment they have on the Game Board. JEWELLER
Each player may only place here once. Allows you to acquire Jewellery when Hiring Garments.

END GAME
COMPLETE THE JOURNEYMAN EXAMINATION
The game ends at the end of the 7th Round, once the Draw Deck is exhausted. Score as follows: 1. You must have 1 Token in the Journeyman Examination Area.
2. You must have completed each of the 4 Journeyman Examination Tasks.
1. Gain 1 VP per 10 Livre.
3. Pay 5 Livre, gain 1 VP, and discard the 4 Tokens on the Journeyman Examination Tasks.
2. Gain VP form any Employee Card Bonuses.
4. You may use the Bonus of your played Apprentice.
3. Gain 3 VP if you have the Queen’s Favour.
5. Trash the Apprentice, then choose any 1 Journeyman Card from the Journeyman Deck to add to your Hand.
4. Gain VP for having the majority of Garments in each Hall, the player with the 2nd most gains the lower number.
6. Move your Token from the Journeyman Examination Area to the Master Examination Area.
Ties are broken by Garments on Master spaces, followed by the Musician decoration. Otherwise all tied players receive
the full amount of VP. If there is a tie for 1st place, 2nd place isn’t awarded. 2nd place isn’t awarded in 2 player games.
COMPLETE THE MASTER EXAMINATION
5. Gain VP for having the majority of Tokens on Firework Decorations, the player with the 2nd most gains the lower number.
1. You must have 1 Token in the Master Examination Area.
Ties are broken by most expensive Decoration. 2nd place isn’t awarded in 2 player games.
2. You must have completed each of the 3 Master Examination Tasks.
6. Move 1 Garment from the Main Hall up to each Firework Display, player’s choice.
3. Pay 5 Livre, gain 1 VP, and discard the 3 Tokens on the Master Examination Tasks.
7. For each Statue gain 2 VP for each different coloured Garment you have on the Board, up to 8 VP.
4. You may use the Bonus of your played Journeyman.
Each Statue may be assigned an additional, different set of 4 Garments.
5. Trash the Journeyman, then choose any 1 Master Card from the Master Deck to add to your Hand.
8. Gain VP for all Tokens on Garments, Decorations, and the All Halls Bonus.
6. Move your Token from the Master Examination Area to the Journeyman Examination Area.
9. Gain 1 VP for each Jewellery Tile you have.
The player with the most VP is the winner, Ties are broken by most remaining Livre. EXAMINATION TASKS
If you meet the requirements for 1 of the Examination Tasks on your turn, place 1 Token on that space.
You may only complete 1 Task for your main Action and 1 for your Bonus Action per turn.
EXPANSION GARMENTS

Gain 2 VP for each pair of 1 Lady’s gown and 1 Gain 1 VP for each of your Tokens on a Decoration. Gain the indicated number of Livre.
