It is intended that the minimum required monitoring equipment as per Part C, Chapter 1, Section 2,
Table 2, Table 3 or Table 4 as applicable, are to be fitted to all engines intended to classified ships,
unless otherwise agreed.
S12R:
Maximum allowed step load at 1800 rpm: 78% total load [99.375 kW/cyl].
Maximum allowed step load at 1500 rpm: 60% total load [95 kW/cyl].
S16R:
Maximum allowed step load at 1800 rpm: 78% total load [99.375 kW/cyl].
Maximum allowed step load at 1500 rpm: 60% total load [93.75 kW/cyl].
For emergency gensets, the total consumer load is to be lower than given value (taking also into
account the power required by driven auxiliaries like radiator fan), or it is to be supplied in steps,
subject to the requirements in Part C Ch 1 Sec 2 item 2.7.5 e) being satisfied.
The remarks of approval letter PRMT/2008/00543/MDA of 08-10-2008 are to be satisfied and
checked for each installation.
