The shepherd of Olympus

This is a metaphoric inspiring and psychedelic book that describes the journey of a woman Britney who
is a young true believer who uses her principled stand to oppose corruption in institutions as she claims
it does not represent the nature of the gods. Additionally, Britney is a young shepherd who later
discovers the true self according to the gods appeal and realizes the extent to which vices in the society
have led to the fall of Olympus. The paper in context provides an analysis of the shepherd of Olympus
book, defines the problem addressed in the book, critical issues, potential solutions and evaluation
together with describing the symbolic analysis of various items in the book.

Defining the problem

The significant root problem addressed in this book is poor leadership. According to the culture of the
shepherds in the floating grasslands, there were codes of ethics that were set from the previous
generations and required to be adhered to by the shepherds to please the gods. In the initial stages of
the story, Mica who was the second in command of the shepherds plots to overthrow the first
shepherds using his bravery stories of slaying the war wolf. He ganners support from the majority of the
council members and goes further to destroy the reputation and credibility of the first shpherds rule.
((pg 8)) . gradually, the utterances made by council started to lower faith of people and eroded faith
towards first shepherd. Pg 9… consequently, Mica took over as the new first in command leader of
cellardoor and started to rule in a corrupt and disrespecting leadership manner that results to
undermining of the shepherds code of ethics.
