Tuberculous osteomyelitis, right lower leg (confirmed by histology). Patient underwent


radical open excisional debridement of right tibialand right fibular osseous tissue. Patient
was treated with peripheral intravenous antitubercular multidrug therapy consisting of
isoniazid, vitamin B6, rifampin, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide. Patient also received
consultation with an orthopedic surgeon about possible total joint arthropathy; patient
decided to consult with another physician to obtain a second opinion.
