TRAYECTO DE PRÁCTICA III

3rd Class

Grade: 6th DCM
Objectives: For students to revise: adverbs of frequency, food related vocabulary
and develop writing skills.

Warm Up:
The TT will ask the students to say different food they know so as to revise their food
vocabulary. The TT will write the answers on the board and categorize it in fruit
vegetables, animal source foods, etc. He will have, just in case, some pictures of
food that the students will need to know for the following reading.

Presentation: reading
The TT will deliver a handout about Michael Phelps and Cara Delevingne's diets.
Prediction: the TT will ask the students to look at the pictures of those two people.
They will be asked to say if they know them and guess what food they eat. The TT
will write their predictions on the board.
1st reading: then the TT will ask the students to read it to check the predictions.
2nd reading: the students will have to read the text again and answer some
questions that start with “Who…?”. They have to write M (Michael), C (Cara) or MC
(for both of them)
Who…
1) eats a lot?
2) talks about steak and chicken?
3) thinks it’s important to eat healthy food?
4) has a big breakfast?
5) doesn’t eat a lot of vegetables and fruit?
6) eats a lot of Italian food?

3rd reading: the students will be asked to look for frequency adverbs on the text, and
the TT will write them on the board.

Systematization:
The TT will check from the students the meaning of frequency adverbs.
Practice: Word Scramble
The TT will deliver a handout with an activity, in which students will be asked to put
the words in the correct order to make sentences.

Production:
Speaking: The TT will ask the students about what they eat for breakfast, lunch, etc.
To encourage them, the TT will provide examples of his own like “I have coffee and
biscuits for breakfast everyday” or “I usually have steak for lunch”.
Writing: then the TT will ask the students to write about their diet using as many
adverbs of frequency as they can. The TT will explain that their productions are
meant to be handed in and, once revised, they will be shared with British students
learning Spanish. The writings should be 4 or 5 sentences long.

Extra practice: Multiple Choice (activity meant to be used in Class n°2)


The TT will give the students a copy of multiple choice with wh-questions. After they
finish it, it will be shared orally and corrected.
