Present simple and present continuous - Descriptive text
Descriptive text is a text that aims to explain, describe, or describe something. This thing can take the
form of anything, be it animals, objects, locations, and so on.
Usually descriptive text is characterized by the use of easy tense and focuses on one specific object. The
object is then discussed again in more detail in the descriptive text
Descriptive text can also mean:
provides information about how something or someone looks, this text uses words to describe what
something or someone is like.
also provides facts about how Indonesian is actually used according to the rules and how this text should
be used.
2. Simple Tense
Using the basic verb or the first form (verb 1) and using the verb principle can show the ownership or
state of an object. Descriptive text uses easy tense because descriptive text tells a fact of the Iranian
language object that is described. For example, My workplace has twenty two floors, Azka is pretty, and
others.
3. Action Verbs
Using the verb principle indicates an activity or an activity the principle can be seen. For example, sleep,
walk, sing, dance, and others.
4. Figurative Language
Using Indonesian figurative principle or describing something, usually using a metaphor to illustrate to
the reader. For example: My love for you is as massive because the ocean. - My love for you is as wide as
the ocean. Her skin is as white because of the snow

past continuous
Example:
A traveler girl
She is a Traveler Girl. Her name is Romana Maya, her friends call her in May. She likes to go somewhere
to a single destination or more. She has long brown hair. His mother is Chinese so she has slanted black
eyes as like as his mother. She has a medium nose and she has thin lips. She has oriental skin. She is
pretty tall. It’s about 168 cm. Her friends love her so much because she is independent, easy going
person, friendly and helpfulness. She has a favorite color. It is black. Right now, she is sitting and
enjoying the view. She is wearing maroon headgear and a maroon scarf. She is wearing sunglasses and a
watch. She is wearing a blue blouse. She is wearing black jeans. She is wearing socks and black mountain
sandal. She is bringing a black backpack. She is bringing photography stick.
Then, there is also recount text in the form of reports of past events. The events around you can be turned
into a recount text.
Making recount text is like writing an essay, but it doesn't need a long explanation. It is enough to make
sure the structure used is complete, you can also write your own recount text.
Although the essence of recount text is the same, namely telling of past events, recount text also has
several types, namely:
recount text has at least 4 characteristics that distinguish this type of text from other texts. The following
are the characteristics of recount text:
recount text also uses past linguistic elements or past tense.
Requires conjunctions such as after, before, then to string events together.
Use action verbs to describe activities, such as ate, bought, went, slept.
Provide information about place and time or adverbs and adverbial phrases to further clarify the
atmosphere and events. The structure of recount text generally consists of 3 parts, : orientation, main
event, and re-orientation.
