Theres are grants, scholarships, loans, aif for military families, etc.
You can apply through FAFSA. It helps a student pay for education
expenses at a postsecondary school

What benefits do students receive from this type of financial aid?

There is a Cal grant and new york state tuition assistance program. To
apply for a cal grant you can submit a FAFSA form or a CA dream
act application and your verified cal grant GPA. It helps a student
pay for education expenses at a postsecondary school

What benefits do students receive from this type of financial
aid?

SDSU offers aztec scholarships. The purpose of it is that it allows


students to apply for university scholarships via one
application.
UCSD offers the ellen and roger revelle scholarship. It awards up to
$10,000 for 4 years and is paid up to $2,500 per year.

Both scholarships help students pay for education expenses at a


postsecondary school

4. Private Scholarships- Describe two scholarships that you found


interesting during your research. What are the benefits of using
this type of aid to fund your education?

ASFA/CMSAF/AMF Scholarship Program: its purpose is to


financially assist the undergraduate studies of eligible,
dependents of military personnel. The way to qualify is to be
dependents of military personnel; must be pursuing
undergraduate degrees at accredited academic institutions;
must be 23 years old or younger. It’ll benefit me by paying
$1,000-4,000 of my tuition.

Albert Levinson Scholarship: its purpose is to support the children


or grandchildren of sea services personnel as they pursue
higher education. The way to qualify is to be the child or
grandchild of a member of the sea services, to include the
United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States
Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine; must be a high
school student enrolled or enrolling in any curriculum at an
accredited institution of higher education. It’ll benefit me by
paying $10,000 of my tuition.

receive from this type of financial aid?

My dad is currently serving in the military. Since my dad is in the


Navy I qualifiy for the Albert Levinson scholarship.

Albert Levinson Scholarship: its purpose is to support the children or


grandchildren of sea services personnel as they pursue higher
education. The way to qualify is to be the child or grandchild of a
member of the sea services, to include the United States Navy,
United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, and U.S.-
flag Merchant Marine; must be a high school student enrolled or
enrolling in any curriculum at an accredited institution of higher
education. It’ll benefit me by paying $10,000 of my tuition.

covering the costs of post-secondary education? Write a
paragraph that summarizes the total cost you expect to pay for
post-secondary education, the sources of aid you plan to use to
cover these costs, and when and how you plan to apply for each
program. You may also need to consider alternate sources of
income such as a college fund or savings plan that has already been
set aside.

My plan for covering the costs of my post secondary education is


through my fathers GI bill and also a scholarship. I plan on going
to Mira Costa Community college for 2 years. From doing my own
math ans also looking through research I’ll expect to pay $2,354-
$6,392 per year and I am going for 2 years. The aids I plan on
using are the Albert Levinson scholarship and my fathers GI bill. I
have to talk with my dad on how to use/apply for the Gi bill and
for the scholarship I have to apply before the deadline. I have a
little bit of savings that I may also use for tuition.
