ALIDON Head of Office DEACO SUBJECT: CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS IN SEMINAR ON EMPLOYEES’ CONDUCT DURING ELECTION SEASON DATE : (01 MARCH 2022 ‘The Department of Education strongly echoes the Civil Service Commission efforts in ensuring that officers and government employees remain focused on affairs of the government, through DepEd Order No. 48, s. 2018, “Prohibition on Electioneering and Partisan Political Activity”, further outlining the agency policies of not engaging in direct or indirect electioneering or partisan political campaign, doing away with the spoils system, and shielding public service from political influences. In line with this, the DepEd through the Office of the Undersecretary for Field Operations, Palarong, Pambansa Secretariat, and DEACO will be conducting a seminar entitled “Do's and Don'ts: DepEd Employees’ Conduct during Election Season” on March 17, 2022 starting at 9 o'clock in the moming until 12 oclock noon This seminar is geared towards proactively informing and reminding the teaching and non- teaching employees within the DepEd, from the national-level down to the school-level, about the virtues of the government offices and our commitment to non-partisanship and avoiding direct and indirect electioneering, ‘The participation of all teaching and non-teaching employees is highly requested, and the details of the Zoom Seminar Room will be distributed the day before the event schedule.
