Success is often associated with taking risks and living on the edge, especially in regards to some more
spontaneous and versatile work fields, which entertain the human perception and make them more
appealing by linking the concept of chance and luck to the idea of accomplishment.

On one hand, taking into consideration the very own uncertainty of life, it is to be expected that this
characteristic would play a major role in the defining of the process, which is needed in order for
someone to be considered successful. Therefore, it is speculated that in order to attain success in a
designated area, one has to take into consideration decisions that may seem uncertain and take
responsibility of the consequences, whether good or bad.

On the other hand, taking risks, doesn’t necessary involve the idea of “being unprepared”, given the fact
that most risk-takers have a calculated agenda and a back-up plan in case something goes wrong. By
having a good measurable planning, people in the business field already anticipate and mitigate the risk
should there be any failure in the plan. One could state that taking risks is not always a risk in itself, but
rather a chance that could lead to an expected development of the situation that might be beneficial.

In conclusion, success is linked with the process of taking risks because uncertainty is a defying factor
for the evolution of any process and could be a great advantage for the cause.
