A company that prides itself on its short delivery time is Domino’s Pizza.

If you’ve called a
Domino’s Pizza restaurant and ordered for delivery, they give you a 30-minute guarantee that
their food will be at your doorstep; and if not, the food is free. This doesn’t mean that the clock
starts when the delivery rider begins traveling to your location, rather, it starts when the call is
hung up. Therefore the 30-minute delivery also includes the cooking time. This guarantee helped
the brand gain a competitive advantage over other pizza-making companies (until the other
companies also started copying them) and it is an example of the implementation of a time-based
strategy.

In contrast, an example of a company that uses quality-based strategies is Toyota Motors

Philippines Corp. (TMP) recently received the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) for Performance
Excellence for the year 2019. The government, through the Department of Trade and Industry
(DTI), recognized the country's premier automotive manufacturer for achieving PQA Level 4, the
highest level of national accreditation for excellent organizational performance in Total Quality
Management (TQM). The country's leading automobile manufacturer is highly credited with
helping to establish the domestic automotive manufacturing industry. TMP is now the
manufacturer of the most popular Vios and Innova models. Its extensive logistical facilities,
including the recently opened Batangas Vehicle Center, ensure prompt delivery of Toyota
vehicles across the country. TMP strives to provide an exceptional customer experience while
fulfilling the nation's mobility needs through its highly skilled team members engaged in the Toyota
network (Business World, 2021).
