A. Project Management responsibilities:
 Preparation of Scope of work, terminal points and Division of work as per the Technical specification
of customer for assigning to the Engineering and project team.
 Preparation of schedule in Primavera-P6 for Main plant (Boiler & TG), Balance of Plant systems and
auxiliaries inclusive of pumps, valves, pipes, heaters etc., considering the Design, Engineering,
procurement and manufacturing lead time as per the customer milestone schedule.
 Preparation of Billing breakup (BBU) of Power plant equipment in broad level and sub-level for
getting approval from Customer.
 Vendor development of equipment/systems by collecting credentials, review documents, visiting
vendors and recommending to client for approval.
 Addressing project schedule updates for the activities to Customer and management on monthly
basis and weekly basis.
 Conducting Project coordination meeting between departments for bringing out the department
issues pertaining to projects, Equipment and products.
 Preparation of weekly status and monthly status of manufacturing quality plans, purchase request,
Purchase orders, drawing releases to Customer, vendor drawings and vendor deviations.
 Design details of custom variations of standard products to meet customer specifications.
 Organized and established the technology transfer channel with parent company (Toshiba
Corporation-Japan)for release of documents, drawings and specifications with respect to project
schedule.
 Established the document numbering system based on the KKS coding philosophy in the organization
for project deliverables to customer and for internal organization.
B. Project Engineering responsibilities:
 Determine Parts, Parts attributes, Bill of materials (BOM) and Manufacturing routers and entering in
to the ERP system.
 Ensure design and drafting assignments are completed according to timelines.
 Releasing of Purchase request for the parts and Services for the plant and equipment.
 Maintain log of work status information to track orders through the system.
 Compile and distribute various reports, including but not limited to drawing reports, progress reports
and customer drawing reports.
 Handling of Dispatches by coordinating with various departments such as quality, procurement,
manufacturing, finance.
 Cost control and schedule control of the plant equipment and parts.
 Interface Engineering coordination such as terminal points, civil inputs, mechanical inputs and
electrical inputs between departments, vendor and Customer.

In BGR ENERGY SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED (Sep 2009 to Dec 2010)

 Preparation of Technical deviations and clarifications in proposalforBoilers, Turbine& its auxiliaries
and BOP systems.
 Preparation and review of Interface details/Terminal point details such as weld edge preparation for
Main steam pipe from Boiler to TG, extraction steam pipe from TG to heaters, DM water pipe to
Equipment cooling water tank, Air system pipe etc.,
 Review of Boiler and Turbine- Generator outline, General arrangement and floor plan layout drawings
of TG building with Plant Plot plan, equipment drawings and piping drawings for checking the
interface and fouling.
 Review of P & I diagram and system description (write up) for Boiler, TG systems such as Steam and
Feed water system, lube oil system, Condensate system, Auxiliary cooling water system and
Equipment cooling water system.
 Preparation of P & I diagram and system description(write up)/ Design basis report for BOP systems
such as Condenser cooling water system, Auxiliary cooling water system , Fuel oil, Raw water, river
water, DM water distribution and filtered water distribution
 Preparation of calculation of the Total developed head of Condenser cooling water pumps, Auxiliary
cooling water pump, River water pumps, Raw water, DM water transfer pump, Boiler fill pump etc.,
 Preparation of calculation of the Thickness and deflection of pipe for cooling water, auxiliary cooling
water, Intake water, river water, raw water and CT make up.
 Preparation of Technical specification for Coal handling system, Ash handling, water system and
utilities.
 Preparation of specification, Bidder Evaluation and vendor engineering of Material handling
equipment such as single girder, double girder EOT crane, hoists etc.,
 Preparation of HP&LP valve lists and valve specification, Bidder Evaluation and vendor
engineeringusing ANSI, AWWA, ASME, BS and IS codes.
 Preparation of calculation of the Thickness and deflection of pipe for cooling water, auxiliary cooling
water, Intake water, river water, raw water and CT make up.

IN TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES (Dec 2007 to Aug 2009)

 Design, engineering and procurement of Gas Turbine Combined cycle(GTCC)plant accessories such
as Fuel forwarding skid, Fuel heating and transfer system, Centrifuge desalting skid, Fuel
management spool piece and Cooling water module of combined cycle gas turbine power plants.
 Placement of order with vendor and vendor coordination activities such as review and approval of
vendor drawings.
 Review of CE compliance documents and requesting vendor for submitting the CE- Declaration of
Conformity.
 Preparation of ordering specifications, system and component specifications
 Clarifying Customer and Suppliers deviation request.
 Updating the functional specification of above said modules.
