● Genesis
● Estb. -ACT of Parliament in 1962 - Came in existence in 1963 .
● Recomendation- All India Rural Credit Survey Committe.
● Statutory body -Administrative Control - Union Ministry of Agriculture &
Farmers Welfare . ☆HQ- New Delhi.
● LINAC- training institute of NCDC.
● Present MD- Sundeep Kumar Nayak.
● Supreme body - General Council (51 members).
● President of NCDC - Union Min. Of Agriculture ( Narender singh Tomar).
● Integrated co-operative Development programme (ICDP)- Implemented by
NCDC (1985) - first in Nadiya district of WB.
● Minimum Support Price (MSP) - a scheme of NCDC.
● Functions
● It is created for Purpose of Planning & Promoting Programme for Production ,
Processing , Marketing , Storage, Export & Import of Agr. Produce, Foodstuff,
Industrial Goods , live stock , Services on Co-Operative Principles.
● It extend Financial Assistance to all the three Tier of co-operatives - Primary ,
Districts & Apex tier as well as to Multistate Co-ops .
● It is regarde as most Prefferred Financial Institute for Co-operative.
● Now Finance projects in Industrial co-ops sector & for certain Notified
Services in Rural areas( Water conservation, Rural health and sanitation ,
irrigation , Agri. Insurance) .
● Loans and advances also given to State Govt. To finance Pry. & Sec. Level
Co-ops societies.
