2540 - Northern tribes that do not accept Sigmar as their god are driven

from the new Imperial colony. Some stay true to their old ideals, even as their
gods are gone. Others turn to the worship of Hashut and travel south on a
pilgrimage to Zharr Naggrund.

2541 - 2547 - Chaos dwarves of Zharr Naggrund begin construction of a new

temple to honour Hashut. As the temple rises to the skies, the chaos dwarves
experience a sharp increase in the number of sorcerers. The stone curse becomes
more problematic for their people as some of the greatest minds are slowly turned
to rock.

2547 - The numbers of the Chaos dwarves are at an all-time low. To maintain
control over the greenskin slaves, the sorcerers decree that northern humans who
worship Hashut shall act as an intermediary of sorts, managing the day to day
business of the dawi-zharr empire with the chaos dwarves as their masters.

2548 - 2554 - During this period the Chaos dwarves frantically seek an
answer to counter the stone curse. The new hierarchy in which mankind rules the
greenskin hordes in name of their mysterious chaos dwarf masters becomes widely
accepted.

In 2550, the human town of Pigbarter is captured, its population enslaved. The
human cultists begin construction of a large port city which they call Zharr
Ruvalk, which translates to "Flood of Fire".

Several smaller temples are constructed to appease Hashut, in an attempt to lessen

the effects of the stone curse. The attempt fails.

2555 - 2557 - In their panic to stop the stone curse, a cabal of sorcerers
begins to tear down temples to Hashut, claiming that the curse can only be lifted
by losing Hashut's blessing of sorcery. A short, bloody civil war breaks out, in
which the cabal is eventually defeated and sacrificed to the glory of Hashut.

2558 - The chaos dwarves find an temporary solution to the curse in

necromancy. By conducting grand necromantic rituals, the sorcerers can grant life
to their own stone bodies. However the sorcerers continue to slowly turn to stone,
and become immobile permanently when no longer able to speak the ritual's words.

2559 - 2560 - A cabal of sorcerers prepares to launch an expedition from

Zharr Ruvalk. The expedition will take them to Khemri, where they plan to uncover
even greater secrets of necromancy to perfect the solution to the stone curse.
