Duke of Carcassonne: Huebald.

Small, wiry man. Doesn't laugh and rarely speaks. Good warleader though, and a
brave warrior. Is not above using less-than-honourable tactics like ambushes and
feints.

Duke of Bordeleaux: Frermund

Duke Alberic was already old in 2523, he died some eighteen years later. He has
been replaced by his son Frermund, who has successfully completed a quest for the
Grail, something his father was denied from attempting because of his duties to the
realm. Like his father, Frermund holds himself and those around him to the highest
standards, and is less than accepting of those he finds faults with.

Duke of Artois: Chilfroy

Strong, big and unsubtle, doesn't laugh unless surveying the devastation he caused
among enemies. Expert hunter. Feels that those of higher positions are always
right, and punishes those of lesser station harshly.

Duke of Aquitaine: Armand

Young, grail knight, strong desire to solve problems martially. Accepts only the
greatest of honours.

Duke of Brionne: Theoderic

Loves music and composes his own songs, which are quite good. He also loves battle
and is very, very good at slaughtering his enemies. Also loves women, though he
keeps to the platonic kind praised in the songs of minstrels.

Duke of Gisoreux: Hagen

Grail knight. Very, very commited to the ideals of chivalry, sometimes clouding his
judgement. Was a personal advisor to Leoncoeur, and would sometimes disagree with
the king.

Duke of Montfort: Folcard

Loved very much by the common people. Is more accustomed to fighting on foot (due
to realm in the mountains).

Duke of Parravon: Cassyon

Grail knight. Youngest, and rides a Pegasus. Does not have a mind for politics,
rulership and administration, but joins the tournament anyway. Very enthousiastic
and likeable. Has matured somewhat in the past 20 years.

Chilfroy wins through sheer brutal techniques.

===Combat 3===
Theoderic vs. Hagen
Hagen wins, upholding the chivalric ideals against Theoderic's onslaught.

===Combat 4===
Folcard vs Cassyon
Folcard wins, more experienced at fighting on ground level even though not as
experienced in mounted combat.

==Round 2==
===Combat 1===
Huebald vs. Chilfroy
Huebald's tactics win against Chilfroy's brutality.

===Combat 2===
Hagen vs. Folcard
Folcard wins after being underestimated by Hagen.

==Final round==
===Combat 1===
Huebald vs. Folcard
Folcard wins, the tactics of Huebald useless against Folcard's unconvential
methods.

Folcard of Montford is declared king in the year 2546.

=No contestant=
Duke of Couronne: Leoncoeur (deceased, no replacement capable of being king)

Duke of Mousillon: None. (therefore no contestant)

Duke of L'Anguille: Taubert

Used to be a sailor, but apparently wants nothing to do with the sea anymore. He is
too busy building his bastion in the forest to be king.

Duke of Bastonne: Bohemond

Grail knight, the Beastslayer, kills monsters. Refuses to fight inferiors, which is
why he doesn't partake; he feels that, as a grail knight, fighting regular knights
(even dukes) would be dishonourable. Suffice to say this does not sit well with
many other dukes. He has no desire to rule anyway.

Duke of Quenelles: Tancred II (dead, one son missing on a grail quest, but is still
king. Quennelles effectively rulerless)

Duke of Lyonesse: Adalhard

Simple man who enjoys the simple pleasures of life, such as gambling, feasting and
such. Probably has Norscan blood. Not much interest in rulership, so he doesn't try
to be king. Also the business in Nez, plus rumours circulating his Norscan blood
and loyalty to Ulric make him unpopular among the other dukes.
