First and foremost, in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful,
Alhamdulillah for the strength and chances in completing this social media (FB) report. A big
appreciation to our lecturer for this subject, Principle of Entrepreneurship (ENT530), Dr
Norhidayah Ali for the valuable guidance and advice for us. She inspired us to work in this
report with all her wide knowledge in this subject. We also would like to thank her for showing
us some example and guideline related to the social media (FB) report.

Besides, we would like to sincere thanks to our classmate who helped us throughout
this assignment this assignment. We do really appreciate their kindness, moral support, and
a bit of their guidance. Not forgetting also to my partner who are equally diligent and
responsible in completing the task during Online Distance Learning (ODL).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Deela Krispy Lekor is a new brand business that strived to be knowing or recognised
by public which to increase on its selling performance. The nature of this business is wanting
to be known as in the food industry or precisely just like others local crispy lekor brand in
Malaysia. As of that, Facebook is as our platform that are mainly used by Deela Krispy Lekor
which to connect with customers by providing information’s about the products in Deela Krispy
Lekor, prices and many more that going to be sell for customers.

The reason why we involved in this industry and selling in online is due to current
situation Pandemic Covid-19 in Malaysia. Therefore, we chose this Deela Krispy Lekor and to
be in food industry is because people tend to search, and eating is a must in our life. People
don’t mind spending money on food if their craving would be satisfied. Thus, we sell our
products in online platform. It can be easier to be done and be as minimum as we can which
we do not need physical interaction. Interaction thru online is easier.

Since this pandemic happened, we have a lot of knowledge and creativeness can be
implied by using Facebook. Using social media, it’s easier to sells product. By keep going on
making posts on our page enables us to learn how to share information and market our product
effectively. The posting consists of teaser, hard sell, and soft sell. Not just that, Facebook
could show us the amount of engagement we received for the post. Thus, it can help us in
improving on our posting style that can boost our products.

2.0 Introduction of Business

2.1 Name and Address of Business

Deela Krispy Lekor was established in November 2021 and owned by two partner, Nur
Dalila binti Ramli and Deena Ashikin binti Yahaya. Deela Krispy Lekor is an online business
and mainly uses Facebook as a platform to sell and promote our product and we operated
from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. everyday. We are located in two places which are Alor Setar,
Kedah and Teluk Kumbar, Penang. In our shop, we offered delicious fish crackers (puffed
keropok) and crispy lekor (fresh keropok) to our customers. Deela Krispy Lekor is selling
various of fish crackers that meet customer preferences by using ‘Tamban’ fish and ‘Parang’
fish. The prices of our fish crackers are reasonable and affordable with high quality of
ingredients as we want everyone have a chance to purchase our products and feel satisfied
after received our products.

Customers who want to purchase the product, can leave a message on our Facebook
page or can click the button ‘WhatsApp’ in our posting in Facebook Page. We provide delivery
service, postage and customers also can self-pick up our product depending on their time
management. For delivery service, we try to reach our customer by cover all Kedah and
Penang area and will be available only on weekend. For those who lives far away, we provide
postage using courier services such as Pos Laju and J&T Express and we try to submit the
order every day. As we are obligated to comply with the regulation of minimizing physical
contact by the government, our customers are advisable to make payment using online
banking unless under certain unavoidable circumstances.

Lastly, our business can be reached through WhatsApp number which is 017-447 7716
or through our social media platform in Facebook which is @DeelaKrispyLekor.

Deela Krispy Lekor is a partnership business form. We only have two workers at the
moment because it is a new business. Both of us manage and operate this company together
and share its profits. In the future, we try to expand our business so by that we could hire more
workers, agents and dropships.

2.3 Vision and Mission

Our vision for the future is to become innovative leader in the food industry for the
global market, to provide delicious food and fun atmosphere that will customers repeat our
product and build the best product in North Malaysia especially in Kedah, Penang and Perlis.

Our mission to promote high quality of Deela Krispy Lekor and give commercial value
to our product. We also want to strive to grow the business from time to time through organized
strategy plan. Other than that, we also committed to gaining sales figures through the
expansion of its marketing network nationwide.

2.4 Description of Products and Services

Deela Krispy Lekor produce fish crackers (puffed keropok) that made from two types
of fish which are ‘Tamban’ fish and ‘Parang’ fish. The quality of our crackers produced is
excellent because we use a fresh fish and high-quality flour before processing the fish
crackers. It also has a good expansion from puffing, crispness as well as low moisture content
and low boil absorption.

Deela Krispy Lekor have three shapes of fish cracker which are small circular shape,
cylindiral shape and radius shape. The shape makes it easier to eat and customers can enjoys
eating it at the same time. Customers have more options when they test the three shapes
since each of them will have a different taste.

While, Deela Krispy Lekor’s Keropok Lekor and Cheezy Ball is steamed during the
process of making the fish crackers. The crackers from the dough which is steamed have
better quality compared to those from the dough which is boiled. Besides that, we provide a
small pack of chili sauce or cheese sauce in every pack of Keropok Lekor and Cheezy Ball.
Thus, it can be used as a dipping sauce for the fish cracker. We use plastic packaging as our
packaging because it is easily available and ideal for the packaging of food stuffs.

In terms of nutrition, our fish crackers could be a particularly nutritious snack. It is not
only providing carbohydrate and protein but also some micronutrients. It is because we use a
lot of fish and no fish bone at all.

2.5 Price List

As our fish cracker product, the price list for each package is different in terms of size, weight
and type of fish. But, for each package, we pack each pack of fish crackers for 500g to make
it easier for customers to buy. The table below are the price list of our products:

As we start our business, we as the owner of the business have responsibilities in
create our Facebook page to promote our products and services to customers in the
Facebook. By creating Facebook page, we can share basic information about our products,
share pictures and video of the products, maybe some tips of products that can helping
customer understand mor and most importantly we can raise our brand to their eyes.
Therefore, it will be such a good way to connect our business with customer through online by
creating a Facebook page. In Deela Krispy Lekor page, we have been created and posted
such as teaser, hard and soft sell related regarding to our business products.

Hard sell post is referring to an approach to advertising or sales features particularly


direct and insistent language. Instead of evaluating his or her options and potentially deciding
to wait for the purchase, which a hard sell is designed to get a consumer to buy a good and
services in the short-term. The figures below are the types and example of hard sell that we
use in Deela Krispy Lekor.

Technique that been use in hard sell 1 is conviction. Because there are mention facts and
figures related to our product such as affordable price. We are telling the price of Keropok
Tamban.

Technique that been use for hard sell 2 is conviction. We show price of our product.

Soft sells mean an approach to advertising and sales that features subtle language
and a non-aggressive method. Because soft sell is a technique of low pressure, persuasive,
and subtle sales. Soft sells do not show a result of sales, but it helps to promote repeat sales.

4.0 CONCLUSION

In a nutshell, Deela Krispy Lekor is a new online business that mainly uses online
platforms like Facebook to market our crispy lekor and fish crackers business. With using this
platform, it is really help us in terms of growth of our product by frequent posting and taking
advantages of their advertising services too. The best part is, all the postings are such as
about our ingredients used, in terms of packaging, received customer feedbacks, introduce
new brand product, giving some steps and others just to attract having a lot of customers. For
those who just embark on their journey in opening new business or find some incomes, social
platforms like a Facebook would be the best market and advertised to potential customers all
around the country. As we know, a lot of people use Facebook for their business. Because
everyone has account Facebook, right? So that is mean, it will be their time to promote and
opening their business. Not just that, we will be able to communicate with all the customer
without any problems. Posting and advertising in Facebook, help us and everyone because it
very economical and does not burn a hole in our pocket but boost up our sales tremendously.

Since we mention that we can get a lot of users from all around the world, who knows
we can expand our product’s market without a hitch all over Malaysia. We can easily distribute
our product to all customers by providing postage and delivery courier through Pos Laju or
Lalamove or sometime we go for cash on delivery (COD) for customers that stay not too far
from our location. Facebook give the space to create a longer-time interactive platform where
we can truly engage our business with our customers base.

Last but not least, we hope by doing this report we will increase our skills and ability to
become more innovative, having skills in problem solving, understanding customer’s need,
critical thinking, research skills, and skills in management on business. In the future, we hope
our business will expands to the big empire and be recognized by many people even selling
local product.
