IVY: FLOWERS:

• Using any DK weight yarn and crochet hook


3.5 mm crochet 4-6 flowers.

• Using any Worsted weight yarn and crochet


hook 5.5 mm (I) crochet 2-3 flowers.

To begin: ch4, join ch with a sl st to form a


ring, work in rounds

Rnd 1: [ch4; 2 trc into ring; ch 4; sl st in to


ring] 5 times

Fasten off leaving long tail for sewing. Sew


flowers to the hat throughout ivy stem.
Hold the hat facing as shown on diagram,
join CC in A and work by spiral to the top of the
hat (Z) turning hat counterclockwise: *ch6; skip
2" (5 cm) space ; sl st around the post of the hat
st; ch7; sc in 2nd ch from hook; hdc in next st;
dc in each of next 2 sts; hdc in next st; sc in next
st; sl st around the post of next hat st; rep from *

Fasten off, wave ends in.

CHUNKY FLOWER TUTORIAL: Rnd 1: ch.1; work 18 sc. into ring; join with sl.
st. to beginning ch =18 sc sts
You can use this chunky flower pattern as
alternative to Ivy embellishment.

Rnd 2: [Ch 4; 3 trc in to the next st.; ch 4; sl.


st. In to next st] 6 times = 6 petals

FINISHED SIZE: 5" (13 cm)

MATERIALS:
Finish off, weave in yarn ends.
PC - Super Bulky Wool roving yarn
BC - Brown Worsted yarn Stamens:
SC - Pink Worsted yarn * Cut 3 strands of yarn, fold them in a half and
using crochet hook pull them trough the stitch
Bottom Petals between petals creating a loop, then pull ends
Work with PC and crochet hook 5.5mm (I) : through the loop and tie (same as you would
make a fringe). Rep. 4 more times from *
To begin: Ch 10, join ch. with a sl. st. to form a
ring

Pistil and top petals:

Start with BC and crochet hook 3.5 mm

To begin: ch3, join ch. with a sl st to form a


ring
Rnd 1: ch1; 6 sc in to ring; do not join = 6 sts
Rnd 2: 1 sc in first st of previous rnd; 2 sc in
next st [ 1 sc in next st; 2 sc in next st] 2
times = 9 sc sts
Rnd 3,4: work sc in each st around = 9 sc sts

Trim ends.
Sl st in next st, join and work next rnd with SC,
do not break BC yet.

Rnd 5: [ch. 4; 3 trc in next st; ch4; sl st in next


st.] 5 times = 5 petals

Change to BC, do not break SC yet. Finishing:

Rnd 6: ch1; work sc sts throughout petals edge, Sew pieces together.
Join to the beginning ch.

Change to SC, break and finish off BC

Rnd 7: ch 1; sl st in back st; [ch 6; sl st in back


st] 4 times; ch 6; join with sl st to beg. ch
= 5 ch6 sps
