1. OBJECTIVE:
1.1 To get good performance from equipment and machinery it is necessary to do regular cleaning of
the equipment. Hence it is essential to lay down a procedure for cleaning of equipment and
machinery.
2. SCOPE
2.1 This SOP is applicable for cleaning and machinery in utility area of Vital Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
Nashik.
3. RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Maintenance supervisors: To follow the procedure as per SOP.
3.2 Maintenance In-charge: To ensure that procedure is followed correctly as per SOP.
3.3 QA Manager: To ensure that the procedure is followed correctly as per SOP and to review
and authorize the documents.
4. PROCEDURE:
Principle:- N.A.
Frequency: Weekly (R.O. Plant, Multicolumn), Every 15 Days (Boiler, Nitrogen Plant,
Vacuum Pump, A.C. Plant)
4.1 Materials:
Dry dusters, Brooms, Soaps solution, wet duster, Nylon scrubber.
4.2 Put off the main switch of machines before cleaning .
4.3 Clean the nearby of purified water plant, multicolumn, vacuum pump, nitrogen plant,
boiler, AC plant
4.4 R.O Water Plant:
4.4.1 Clean the plant with dry duster, and then clean with wet duster.
4.5 Multicolumn:
4.5.1. Clean the outer surface of multicolumn by using dry duster. Then clean with
Soap solution, mop the column with wet duster. Clean all the S.S. pipelines
with soap solution.
4.9 Boiler:
4.9.1. Remove the oily and greasy material from boiler shell by scrubbing it with nylon
brush and then wipe out dry duster.
4.10 A.C. Plant:
4.10.1. Clean the plant with dry duster.
4.11 Safety measures and environment:
4.11.4. While cleaning do not touch any electrical wire and moving parts of machines.
