They are described in the safety chapters at the head of the attached manual specific to your equipment The aim ofthis manual is to help you getting used to the machinefinstalation and make use ofits potential, according to the use forecasted The service manual contains significant instructions which enable you operating the machine / installation safely and in a suitable and economic way. The observance of these rules contributes to avoid the risks, to reduce the repairing costs and downtimes and to increase the reliability and life cycle of the machine / installation. The service manual must be supplemented by the directives relevant to the existing national regulations concerning prevention of the accidents and environmental protection. The service manual must always be within reach, The service manual is to be red and applied by any person who is in charge of work with /on the machine /installation. Danger! : The following obligations and prohibitions relate to the prevention of physical injuries or important material damages. 3 1.2 Principle: use true to forecasted use 4.24: The machinelinstallation has been built according to the current technology and recognised safety regulation. Such obligations can also concer, for example, the dangerous materials handling, the setting with dispositionithe wearing of protective clothing and the regulations concerning road traffic for the mobile concrete batching and mixing plant. 1.3.3 Supplement the handbook of service with instructions including the obligation of monitoring and declaration in order to take into account the characteristics of the exploitation, such as organisation or development of work or personnel put in action. 4.3.4 The personnel in charge of the work on the machine must read the handbook of service before starting his work and in particular the chapter’ security instructions’. It will be too late to do it during work time. They are likely to remain hung or to be grabbed by the machine and thus to be wounded. 4.3.7 Use the individual protection equipment if necessary or if the regulations require it! 13.8 Obey all the security instructions and danger mentioned on the warning plates fixed on the machine! installation. 1.3.9 Take care that all the plates of warning relating to the security and the danger applied to the machine are always clear and readable. 1.3.10 Inthe event of modifications of the machinef installation or its functioning mode, influencing the security, stop the machinefinstallation immediately and announce the incident to the person or the qualified station. 1.3.41 Don't carry out any measurement of transformation or assembly of additional elements on the machine/ installation likely to be reflected on the security without having the authorisation of the provider. This is also valid for the assembly and the adjustment of the devices and the valves of security as well as work of welding on the bearing parts 1.3.12 The spare parts must satisfy the technical requirements defined by the manufacturer. Put the machine in order only when all safely and security devices, such as removable safety devices, emergency stopping devices, sound insulation’s, reductors, are existing and in operating condition! 1.5.1.3 Control the machine/installtion at least once by workstation to detect deteriorations and visible defects from outside! Immediately signpost any change noted (including the changes in behaviour with work) with the person/at qualified station! If necessary, stop the machine immediately and lock it! 1.5.1.4 In the event of operating fault, stop the machinefinstallation immediately and lock il Have it repaired immediately! 1.8.4.5 During the operations of starting and setting in stop, observe the indicators of control in accordance with the handbook of service! 1.5.1.6 Make sure, before starting the machine/installation, that nobody can be endangered by the starting of the machine/installation! 1.8.2 Particular work within the framework of the exploitation of the machine of breakdown service and maintenance work during work: evacuation. 4.5.2.1 Carry out the operations of adjustment, maintenance and inspection prescribed by the handbook of service by respecting the intervals also envisaged by this last as well as the indications relating to the partial replacement of parts/equipment! Don't use elements of machine like means of access! Carry a harness of protection against the falls when maintenance work is to be carried out with a great height. Take care that all the handles, steps, guard-rails, platforms of rest and work neither are getting clogged up nor covered with snow or ice. 1.5.2.9 Clean the machine and in particular connections and bolting and remove the remainders of oil and product of cleaning before beginning the maintenance work or repairs! Don’t use aggressive up-keeping products! Use rags which do not become fluffy! 1.6.2.10 Tighten thoroughly nipples loosened during the reconditioning and maintenance work! 1.5.2.11 fit proves to be necessary to dismount the safety devices for the assembly, maintenance or the breakdown service, those have to be re-assembled and checked as soon as the maintenance work and repairs is finished. 1.8.2.12 Take care that the evacuation of the consumable matters and the spare parts is carried out in full safety and so as dor't pollute the environment! 4.6 Instructions concerning particular categories of dangers 1.6.1 Electric power 1.6.1.1 Use only original fuses with the amperage prescribed! In the event of breakdown in the electric component, stop the machine/installation immediately! 1.6.1.2 Work on installations or electric means of exploitation can only be carried out by a qualified electrician or people initiated under the direction and monitoring of a qualified electrician and according to electro-technical rules. 1.6.1.3 Parts of machine or installation on which inspection, repairing or maintenance works have to be carried out, must be put out of tension if this is prescribed. Check initially that the parts put out of tension are indeed without tension. Then put them at the ground and in short-circuit and insulate the elements in the vicinity which are under tension! 1.6.1.4 The electric component of a machinefinstallation must be subjected to regular controls Noted defects, such as loosened connections or carbonised cables, must be eliminated immediately. 1.6.1.5 If work must be carried out on parts under tension, a second person who could activate, in the event of urgency, the emergency switch or the principal disconnecting switch. Before carrying out work of welding, of oxycutting or grinding, remove dust and the inflammable materials which are on the machinefinstallation or in the area and make sure ventilation is sufficient (risk of explosion)! 1.6.2.3 Tocarry out work in narrow buildings, observe the existing national rules, it necessary. 1.6.3 Hydraulics, Pneumatics 1.6.3.1. The valves and fitting, the length and the quality of the flexible devices must fulfil the requirements 1.6.4 Noise 1.6.4.1 The devices of sound insulation of the machinelinstallation must be in position of protection during the service. 1.6.4.2 Carty individual protection against the acoustic shocks prescribed! 1.6.8 Oil, Greases and Other chemical substances 1.6.5.1 Comply with the safety regulations in force for the product during handling of oils, grease or other chemical substances! 1.6.8.2 Handle the hot consumable matters very carefully (risk of burn)! 7 Mobil machines (Machines changing place of use very often) 174 For the loading, use only machines and hoisting accessories having a sufficient load capacity! Ate For the lifting driving, use a qualified signalling operator! 1.7.3 Raise the machines using a lifting gear only according to the indications of the handbook of service (slinging point, etc...). 1.7.4 Only use suitable means of transport and means of iting with sufficient load capacity! 1.7.5 Block the loading correctly! The mixer will not be stopped between the batches (if the production stopping is <20 minutes) Production of concrett ~ Check the concrete recovery mean is positioned under the mixer - Select the formula and the quantity (see control instructions), = The operator must supervise the good delivery of the concrete in the truck mixer. In the event of incident, the operator can act on the mixer’s door closing to stop the transfer of concrete or press on the emergency stop press button if the automatic cycle generates a danger. The. automatic cycle will stop ifit detects an abnormal production condition. A message of error wil give an indication about the reason ofthis stop! 4 OPERATOR'S RESPONSIBILITY DURING THE PRODUCTION The operator has to: “Make sure the cement, aggregate and water supply be correctly carried out Select the production receipts and the quantties -Supervise the availability of the concrete recovery means. Do not launch the production if those are not available Supervise the delivery of concrete and the messages of the automatism concerning the correct operation or the incidents of production 4.5 STOP OF THE PLANT - At the end of the production, and every 8 hours at most, the plant must be stopped to allow the Cleaning of the mixer. Refer to the mixer's maintenance chapter (277A-Chap'4.1) for the details of this maintenance Before setting the plant out of tension, make sure the cement, , P.F.A, admixture, Miero silicro water and aggregates weighing hoppers be empl. The compressor should be located away from a wall or any other obstruction that would interfere with the airflow through the compressor flywheel. Place the air compressor on a firm, level surface. The compressor is designed with fins that allow for proper cooling. Clean or biow off fins and any other parts that collected dust or dirt. A clean compressor runs cooler and provides longer service life. Do not place rags, containers, or other material on top of the compressor that would obstruct ventilation openings for proper compressor operating temperature. 2.START-UP PROCEDURES FOR ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN UNITS 1. Open air receiver service valve fully to permit air to escape from receiver. Move selector switch on pressure switch to “O"(OFF) position. Connect power supply cord into correct power source. Compressor is ready for start-up. Move selector switch on pressure switch to ‘1’ (ON-AUTOMATIC. START AND STOP CONTROL) position 5, Momentarity start the compressor to ensure that the belt wheel rotation is same as that shown by the directional arrow. If direction is incorrect, stop compressor and re-wire the electric motor for single-phase motor. Make certain that the motor is turning smoothly. (Turning in the opposite direction would overheat the compressor) 6. Run the compressor for @ minimum of 18 minutes in this no-load position to lubricate the bearing and pistons. 7. Close air receiver service valve and let pressure to built-up. As the unit builds pressure, check for air leaks. 8. Shut the compressor off. When all pressure has been vented from the compressor and receiver, check the tightness of all bolts and fittings. Tighten as required 3.IMPORTANT-COMPRESSOR SHUT DOWN ‘The ON/OFF switch located on the pressure switch MUST BE USED TO SHUT DOWN. THE COMPRESSOR to ensure pressure is unloaded through the vented check valve via the pressure switch unloader vaive. The motor does not develop full power or speed. 2. Fuses blow out when starting motor. Low voltage could probably resulting in a bumnt-out of the motor due to an improper start-up. (Avoid using a smaller gage wire or long extension cords. They can cause power loss to the motor causing voltage to drop too significantly for the compressor to run. Adding an extra length air hose is more economical than an extension cord 4.MAINTENANCE 4.4 Safety instruction: Before any intervention on the equipment, stop the motor and release all the air captive into the Unit. For your safety: = never put your hands on the hot piping ~ never breathe the compressed air = never use ignitable solvents for cleaning the parts = never modify the equipment, specially on the under- pressure receivers = Watch out: do not forget to proceed to extra check, in presence of Official Authorities representative (Services des Mines) every 5 years for mobile receivers and every 10 years for stationary receivers. = Check periodically the fixing of coupling protections = _ Never modify the adjustment of the device for using it at an upper pressure level that the ‘one mentioned on the nameplate of on the instructions. These operations must be in trusted to skilled staff who may have followed a specialized training. 4.2 Pressure setting This air compressor is factory pre-set to automatically shut-off when the air receiver pressure reaches 125 PSIG (862Kpa), and to restart when the air receiver pressure drops to 100 PSIG (690Kpa). Recommended oil change for All ‘Season 730 SELECT is 2,000 operating hours or 1 year whichever occurs frst. 4.5 Checking and changing oil Upon starting up of your new air compressor or after replacing a part or parts, drain the oil out of the crankcase and change it with new oil after 150 hours in operation Check the oil level in the bare compressor before each use. The oil level should be above the sight glass at all times. If oil level drops below mid point of sight glass, add oil to bring level back to overfiow point of oil filer hole. To drain the oil, remove the oil drain plug and collect the oil in a suitable container. Be sure to replace the oil drain plug securely before adding new oil. See compressor lubrication. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERFILL THE COMPRESSOR WITH OIL. OVERFILLING WITH OIL WILL CAUSE PREMATURE COMPRESSOR FAILURE. AN IMPROPER LUBRICANT, IF USED WILL CAUSE EXCESSIVE CARBON TO BUILT UP ON THE VALVE, CYLINDER, CYLINDER HEAD & PISTONS. THIS WILL NOT ONLY LOWER THE COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE BUT WILL ALSO CAUSE SEIZURE OF BEARING AND PREMATURE FAILURE. 4.6 Cleaning ait inlet fiter To clean the air inlet fiter element, remove the wing-nut securing the inlet filter assembly and pull filter element out of fiter housing. Remove filterfront and then blow clean with air duster. Replace element when itis too dirty to be cleaned. See Figure 1. The CUT-OUT (Compressor shutdown) is the pressure at which the switch contacts open, and the CUT-IN (Compressor restart) is the pressure at which the switch contacts close. ‘The cut-out point may be increase by tuming the range adjustment clockwise. Turning the range adjustment screw counter-clockwise decreases the cut-out point. Note the pressure gauge reading at which the compressor cut-in and re-establish pressure setting if necessary.
