Skill: Teamwork
Experience: Service/Volunteer Work
Organization: Habitat for Humanity
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Title: Volunteer - Habitat Build
Dates: April 12 - June 18, 2016
Duties: As a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, I spent one day helping build a
wooden ramp to make a house wheelchair accessible. This task was a assigned
to a group of the volunteers.
Reflection: I volunteered with ten other students and we had to work as a team to unload
all the wood.  We took turns using the various tools.  Each person took on a
different role to make the project a success.  I helped with measuring the wood
to the exact size before cutting it.  We had to have very clear communication
with each other in order to avoid mistakes.  This opportunity also allowed the
group to identify strengths in order to successfully complete the project in the
most efficient way.
