Homework: What time do you go to school? Present simple

Objective: The student is able to write and talk about his/her personal routine when using
time expressions for more specific details.

Writing Activity
Sally, your friend from United States writes an email to you about what she does in her
daily routine. Write a response fro Sally about your daily rotoutine in Colombia.
Sally`s email
Dear Friend,
I`m so happy to write. Today I share with you my daily routine in my city Chicago. On
Monday I wake up at 6:30 in the morning. I take a shower, I get dressed and I eat breakfast. At
7:30 I take the bus to go to school. In my school I have english and math class before the break.
The break is at 11:00 in the morning. I eat an Apple and cookies.

In the afternoon we finish class and then I have lunch. For lunch I eat a tuna sándwich and orange
juice. When I go home is 4:30 pm. In my house, I take a shower again and watch tv with my
parents and dog. At 7: 00 pm We have dinner and I do homework from shool.

At 9:30 I go to sleep with my dog.

Dear Sally…

I am so happy to write. Today I share with you my daily routine in my city Yopal. On a
regular Monday I wake up at 7 o´clock in the morning. I take a shower, brush my teeths, I
get dressed and I eat breakfast, normally it is a fast breakfast, like an apple and Orange
juice. At 8 o´clock I take my motorcycle and drive to my work. I work as an administrative
assistant and the schedule is from 8 to 12 and from 2 to 5. For lunch I eat near to the work
and the menu its depends for the restaurant. When I go home, I do my homeworks and
also I take the college classes. Normally, I go to sleep at 11:30 pm.
