Represenlative fluorescent black light lamps

There are two kinds of fluorescent black light lamps, listings. See also the Mercury Lamp Section for in-
BL and BLB. Both radiate most of their energy in the formation on mercruy black light lamps, and the
near- ultraviolet region of the spectrum (3200-4000 Incandescent Lamp Section for information on filament
Angstroms). BL lamps require separate external filters; black light lamps.
BLB lamps are made of a special fi1ter glass that ab- Technical Publication LS-141, "Black Light", con-

C,ZONE-PRODUCING LAMP

Fig.23
The ozone-producing lamp is a low-wattage mercury lamp with a
special glass bulb. It radiates a small amount of energy at 1849
Angstroms which creates ozone from oxygen in the surrounding
air. Ozone combats many unpleasant odors commonly encountered
in homes, offices, storage cabinets, Iockers, and the like.
See listing in the technical data pages. For further information,
refer to Large Lamp Department Lamp Letter No, 59-87.
