REFLECTOR LAMPS

Fluorescent reflector lamps have an internal white

coating extending the length of the tube and. abo,:rl,
of the way around it. This reflects Iight through the
"opening", and increases lamp brightness and light
outprrt directionalLy. Total light output is a.bortt 75Vo-
2O7o lessthan that of corresponding standard larnps-

Represenlative fluorescent black light lamps

There are two kinds of fluorescent black light lamps,
BL and BLB. Both radiate most of their energy in the
near- ultraviolet region of the spectrum (3200-4000
Angstroms). BL lamps require separate external filters;
BLB lamps are made of a special fi1ter glass that ab-
sorbs nearly a1I of the visible light.

The ozone-producing lamp is a low-wattage mercury lamp with a
special glass bulb. It radiates a small amount of energy at 1849
Angstroms which creates ozone from oxygen in the surrounding
air. Ozone combats many unpleasant odors commonly encountered
in homes, offices, storage cabinets, Iockers, and the like.
