structures and cohesive devices in presenting information.
Performance Standard/s: The learner transfers learning by composing and delivering an
informative speech based on a specific topic of interest keeping in mind the proper and
effective use of parallel structures and cohesive devices and appropriate prosodic
features, stance, and behavior.

Introduction
A. Motivation Technique
The teacher will give a recording words, and the student will listen carefully to how
each word is being pronounced.

Activity 1:
Direction: In a one whole sheet of paper, write one to two-paragraph composition
about yourself. Include enough information from our topic. Make sure that you observe
parallelism in your composition.

Activity 2:
Direction: Select the underlined word or phrases that needs to be changed to make the
sentence correct.
1. After school, the children went to the park, to the store, and home.
2. For Maki to change her email settings, she had to log in, choose “settings” and then
clicked on “preferences.”
3. In her art class, Maki learned how to paint photograph moving subjects, and
molding sculptures.

1. What are your strategies in identifying errors?

Integration
A. Transfer of Learning
In a one whole sheet of paper, make at least ten sentences that has errors, then you
identify the errors and after that your teacher will check your answer.
B. Reflection Questions (PVMGO)
Today, we learned about parallelism and how to identify errors in a sentence. In
reality we encounter unfairness in life but given the idea of parallelism how can we
promote fairness?
