other text types serves as ways of expressing and resolving personal conflicts, also how to use
strategies in linking textual information, repairing, enhancing communication, public speaking,
emphasis markers in persuasive text, different forms of modals, reflexive and intensive
pronouns.
Performance Standard: The learner composes a short but powerful persuasive text using a
variety of persuasive techniques and devices.
Learning Competencies:
1. Evaluate and make judgments about a range of texts using a set of criteria e.g.
comparing arguments on the same topic, critiquing.

 The teacher will present a video clip.

1. What words come to your mind when you think about talking or presenting in front of
class or an audience?

Read and Understand about “Public Speaking” because later on we will be having a
reporting.
