Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other
text types serve as sources of wisdom in expressing and resolving conflicts among individuals,
groups and nature; also how to use evaluative reading, listening and viewing strategies, special
speeches for occasion, pronouns and structures of modification.

Performance Standard: The learner composes a short but powerful persuasive text using a
variety of persuasive techniques and devices.

Introduction
A. Motivation Technique
o I will post a sample pictures of several objects. Your task is to share to us your
abilities by choosing one picture which is related in your talent.

Processing Questions:
1. What picture you want to choose?
2. Explain why you choose that picture?

B. Transitions/Linking Statements
o Read and understand about Modal Auxiliaries because later on I will be playing
a song that can really catch your attention.

Processing Questions:
1. What is modal auxiliaries?
2. Is it difficult to look for auxiliaries? Why?

Interaction

The teacher will ask the student to be prepared for the activity.

Activity 1:
o Direction: Now, I have here a song and the lyrics will be projected. I want you
to listen attentively and ponder the lyrics with your heart. I will just play the
song twice.
o In a one half sheet of paper you write all the auxiliaries that you heard/see from
the given song.

Activity 2:
o Direction: Your next activity, is to make a sentences all the modals that you
list down in your activity 1.
