Overview
The following preventative maintenance is recommended to insure the best
® ®
performance and reliability of the NucliSENS easyMAG system. A
maintenance log should be kept to insure that periodic maintenance items
are performed at the proper intervals.
The preventive maintenance (PM) has been estimated to take place at least every 6
months or annually based on the volume of extractions.

4. Peristaltic Pump test


Test performed. The peristaltic pump operates correctly
and the waste circuit does not leak. Replace the
autoprene tubing every 2 years.
5. Liquid level sense test (LLS)
Passed: V1 = disabled / V8=active V2 to V7 may have
any state
6. Heater test
Temperature 62.5 °C Reached in less than 140
seconds Temp between wells 4 and 5 (SV1): 63 – 65 °C
Temp between wells 12 and 13 (SV2): 63 – 65 °C Temp
between wells 20 and 21 (SV3): 61 – 64 °C

Temperature 85 °C Reached in less than 180 seconds


Temp between wells 4 and 5 (SV1): 89 – 91 °C Temp
between wells 12 and 13 (SV2): 90 – 91 °C Temp
between wells 20 and 21 (SV3): 87 – 90 °C

7. Reagent level sensing test (weighing device)


Empty bottle: range -50…50 g on all stations
Bottle 300 ml: range 250…350 g on all stations
Bottle 1000 ml: range 900…1100 g on all stations
8. Service protocol
Protocol executed correctly
Silica capture OK
Eluate volume 25 µl ± 4 µl
