PASSIVATION ON SILVER-NICKEL PLATING

1. PURPOSE:

To define the procedure for checking ODT Passivation on Ag-Ni plating.

2. SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITY :

Test method for assessment of ODT Passivation on Ag-Ni plating & check every lot of 3 Parts
during incoming stage by incoming Inspector.

3. SAMPLE PREPARATION:
3.1 Take the Solution of 20%Ammonium Sulphide Solution.
3.2 .Take The Demineralised water.
3.3 Make a solution of 10 %.( 20%Ammonium Sulphide Solution) & 90% of DM water.
3.4 Prepare in Beaker.

4.0 TEST PROCEDURE:

4.1 Dip plated Sample in beaker For 3-5 minutes.
4.2 After 3-5 minutes take out part from the beaker
4.3 Inspect the part Visually.

5.0 RESULT :

No Blackening & Discoloration on Silver-nickel plating(Checking visually) will passed otherwise fail.
