The last quarter of the financial year in any organization is always full of activities and
excitement towards achieving the Organizational as well as personal goals. While our senior
executives are pursuing targets at macro level, our supporting staff gears itself to deliver at
Editorial micro level. The moral of the story is to give full attention to the job on hand, as only then can
we march to progress and ultimately achieve our goal. As always, the turn of the year is the
time for introspection as well as looking forward. We have gained invaluable insights from the
projects we have executed – that are providing the strong base from upon which we shall continue to build. I look forward to the
future as we work to fulfill the mission of UBEL.
Every day we get involved in achieving our professional goals and to perform better and better to get the reward and recognition
from the management. After all, without work, we would not have money to provide the needs of ourselves as well as our family
members. The purpose of earning money is essentially the individual’s desire to provide security and comfort to his/her near and
dear ones. Every parent has dreams for his/her offspring and wishes to provide all that they themselves had yearned for and had
been met with or not met with for lack of affordability or some other reason. Almost always, a person toils hard only to ensure
that the needs of the family are met. But at what cost?
This issue of FACEBOOK addresses “Balancing Work Life”. It's been said that "All
work no play makes Jack a dull boy,". Finding a healthy balance between your work
and personal life is something nearly everyone struggles with. It's not always easy,
but it's important to make time for both since, too much of either can be
detrimental. We all agree that work is important, but finding time for yourself is just
as important. It's not easy to find time for both but it should be a priority.
Organizations have also recognized the importance of balance of work life and are
providing many benefits and recreational activities. Our Management also took a
step further to restore the energy and passion of the employees by organizing a
family day out at Pune as well as at our Delhi office. Exciting and thrilling Sports Facebook photography competition : AV Vartak
activities were organized throughout the year to keep us mentally and physically fit (First), N Supriya (Second), SB Behara (Third),
to overcome the pressure of work at office. Everyone enjoyed the Sports Hungama Gaurav Diwate (Third) at the hands of Mr. Hemal
Ghelani, VP (UB Ostan)
at UBEL.

Family has always formed the very crux in every individual's life.
In today's hectic times, the interaction level among family
members is minimal. There is nothing quite like a family get
together to bring everyone closer together. It's all about
enjoying every moment of being together. It is an opportunity
for family members to come together and reconnect. Having
put in hectic efforts and a lot of hard work, we certainly need a
little change. To get the families together, we planned a family
get together on 26th Feb. 2011 at Chokhi Dhani, Wagholi.

adjacent to Chokhi Dhani. The function started with lighting
the auspicious lamp at the hands of Mr.JK Sardana, Managing
Director, Mr. Sunil Nayyar, Chief Operating officer and Mr. GM
Bapat, Vice President-HR with Ganesh Vandana.
We had many entertainment programs which included songs
by our employees, professional artistes performing popular
songs and dances.
One highlight of the program was the Prizes and Awards
Distribution ceremony.
This year for the first time we announced the
`Life Time Achievement’ Award to Mr. Bidyut
