Rationale Of The Study
Evaluation and forecasting of the future scenario of the food & hotel industry- can they be more
successful than the restaurants?
Conducted a survey through Google forms to get the responses of 250 people.
Converted the string data into numeric data and created hypotheses and analysed the data in
Microsoft Excel and SPSS Software.
With the numeric data, Chi-square tests was used for both the hypothesis tests with cross
tabulations of age.
With the questionnaire, the descriptive statistics for ordinal analysis and Friedman test for the
scale analysis was used with the bar charts & pie.
Objectives Of The Study
To identify the impact of online delivery platforms on restaurants and food delivery organization.
To evaluate and examine what is the growing future in the food sector.

Research Methodology
Type Of Research: The first phase was exploratory, using secondary data, and the second phase was
descriptive, using a structured questionnaire.
Sampling Frame: Individuals using food delivery apps and going to restaurants in all ages.
Research Methodology
H0: There is no significant difference between the age and the frequency of usage of food apps
H1: There is significant difference between the age and the frequency of usage of food apps (Chi square
test) (Crosstab with age and more preference)
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Objective Wise Analysis:
H0: There is no association between age and future trends of food industry
H1: There is an association between age and future trends of food industry (Chi square test)
(Crosstab with age and future of food industry)
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Key Findings
As P-value= 0.123 , which is greater than 0.05 , hence H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected . We
conclude that there is no significant difference between age and usage of food apps.
As P-value= 0.015, which is less than 0.05, hence H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. We conclude
that there is an association between age and the future trends of food industry.
Conclusion
61.6% of our respondents prefer ordering through online food delivery apps.
The future of the food industry is online food ordering and cloud kitchens and only 20% of respondents
are in favour of traditional restaurants.
Almost 80% of respondents avoid going to restaurants because of busy work schedules and to avoid
long waiting queues at restaurants.
72.4% of the respondents believe that food is delivered within one hour.
We can conclude that people prefer online ordering because it is more convenient and people have
time constraints.
Recommendation
From the above findings, we recommend that the food delivery apps should focus on the quality
of the food being delivered and adding more restaurants to the online delivery platforms.
The online food delivery apps should focus on more online offers to attract more consumers in
the long run.
Limitations
Time Constraints: Less amount of time to gather data and to work on that data is quite critical to
accurate results.
Lack Of Previous Studies: Identifying a constraint can be a valuable chance to identify literature gaps and
suggest the need for future research in the field.
Data Collection Process: A limited sample size or lack of reliable data such as self-reported data, missing data,
and deficiencies in data measurements.
Sample Size: A small sample size can make it difficult to evaluate whether a given result is accurate.
