 About:
Vivekananda Building Science Centre (VBSC) is an initiative of Vivekananda Global
University (VGU), Centre for Design Excellence (CODE) and Design 2 Occupancy
Services LLP. The University is offering courses in the field of Engineering, Basic and
Applied Science, Management, Commerce, Law, Agriculture, Architecture and
Design.Design2Occupancy Services LLP is a replica of a challenging voyage that strides for
excellence in providing Energy Efficiency products, Services and comprehensive solutions
across the world.

VBSC aims at developing new standards of research and development in the field of Building
Services and Building Energy through various Educational training, Research and
development programs.

VBSC is proud of its experienced faculties, Trainers, professionals and mentors who have a
quality set of knowledge in various streams of building science like Architecture,
Engineering (Mechanical, electrical and Civil), Interior Design, Urban planning, Social
Environment and Landscape planning etc. VBSC provides consultancy services in the field of
Building Energy modelling and Simulation, Energy Audit of buildings, Data Analysis, Green
Building and campus rating Indoor/outdoor Environment Management and Design,
Advanced Controlled Environment Design, lecture and training sessions for building energy
modelling and simulation on advanced software’s

 VBSC Vision:
Vivekananda Building Science Centre (VBSC) aims to Inform, educate, capacitate and
empower - researchers, institutions, developers, and manufacturers to be equal partners in
contributing towards and reaping benefits towards Sustainable, Greener and Energy
efficient world.We aim to make the greatest possible global impact in addressing the
environmental issues associated with energy use in India.
 ASHRAE 90.1:

VBSC organized a special lecture on ASHRAE 90.1. by SAM MANSON. Sam Manson is
principal at encompass energy, LLC and an active member of ASHRAE. He is also
Professional Engineer (NY) at LEED. This main focus of seminar was on energy analysis and
building energy simulation, energy auditing, HVAC design, building system engineer
daylight analysis, renewable energy analysis. The seminar was attended by engineering
students of Electrical, Mechanical & Computer Science Branch. The seminar was open for all
professional, graduate engineers, and engineering student. The seminar was attended by
around 50+ professional and 200+ engineering students.
 Building Physics:

A seminar on building physics was organized by VBSC. The main speaker for the session was
Ali Hassan. The following points were discussed in the event apart from basic knowledge

VBSC organized a lecture on Water Sustainability by Sai Balaji. The main point of discussion

VBSC organized a seminar on Fire & Security Association of India. This lecture was based on
awareness of fire hazards and safety of human being by fire. The main focus was on How to
protect a human life by Fire, How to reduce the overcome of fire and to give a general
awareness message to the society. The programme was open for all professional, graduate
engineer, and engineering student. It was attended by around 50+ professional and 200+
engineering students.
 MS PROJECT:

VBSC organized a One day training programme on MS PROJECT. This purpose of the
programme was to train people on project management or how to complete work of any
project in stipulated time line. The programme was for all professional, graduate engineers,
and engineering student and was attended by around 20 professionals and 20 students.

 CHIMERA X - National Level Quiz Competition:

ISTE (Indian Society of Technical Education) in association with VBSC, organized this
national level quiz competition, CHIMERA X which saw participation from 200+ students.

VBSC organized a workshop on ENERGY CONSERVATION BUILDING CODE. ECBC was

developed as per one of the mandates of Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the Energy
Conservation Act, 2001 which empowers the Central Government to define norms and
standards of energy consumption. It was an open workshop for all professionals and
graduate engineers and was attended by around 50 professionals.

Ar. Shweta Choudhary delivered a presentation on GEM rating system during Installation of
GEM Rajasthan Chapter - ASSOCHAM on 3rd January 2019 at Hotel Royal Orchid, Jaipur. Some
of the important points covered were Defining the sustainability in building sector, How does
sustainability play an important role in reducing the energy and becoming eco friendly? Etc.
The event was attended by 200+ participants.
