1、 Set the DIP switch on NCP board to all ON state (Download state).The DIP
switch is “S3”.

Instead you can push B-off button for 3 sec to go to download state.

In the download state, the NE IP address is 192.192.192.11 with the subnet

mask of 255.255.255.0.

2、 Connect the EMS with the Qx interface of the SMB board, and confirm the
Ethernet cable connection between the EMS computer and NCP board is
correct.

3、 Set the IP address and subnet mask of the EMS computer according to the
following rules:

 IP address: 192.192.192.X (0 < X < 255 and X ≠ 11)

 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

4、 Execute the “p i n g 1 9 2 . 1 9 2 . 1 9 2 . 1 1 ” command on the EMS computer to

confirm that the EMS computer can connect to NCP

5、 Execute the command “t e l n e t 1 9 2 . 1 9 2 . 1 9 2 . 1 1 “on the EMS computer. The

system prompts to enter user name and password which are both empty,
press ENTER directly.

6、 Input the command” d-erase -d1” under the prompt Z T E + > to erase the
database

7、 Input the command” d-cfgnet” under the prompt Z T E + >

8、 Press ENTER and input the configuration information, as shown in Figure 1

9、prompt “Do you want to save new network configuration? This will take you a
few minutes,are you sure?Yes[Y]/No[N]”,input “y”, as shown in Figure 1

10、prompt ”Successful!Please REBOOT to enable it”, input “d-reboot”, as shown

in Figure 1

11、Wait for the NCP card reboot, after it has been finished, pull out the NCP card. Set the DIP
switch on NCP board not all ON state and also not all OFF state .The DIP switch is “S3”. Then
insert the NCP card.

12、Set the IP address of EMS computer to be within the same network section as
the NE IP address. In the EMS client operation window, select the NE, and click
System →NCP data Management →DB Download to download all the
databases via the EMS software.
