Good afternoon everyone.

I am tasked to present to MODULE 3-SESSION 2 WHICH IS

Flexible learning options. I know this topic is no longer new to us since majority of us had been

in this job for more than a decade, though there are few of our teachers here who are still young

however, I am 100% sure that topic is just a simple review and recall to you.

So much for that, let me give a simple flashback of FLO.

Flexible learning options (FLO)  emphasize case management for specific needs, with

attention to personalized learning programs and remediation. This a positive alternative for

students disengaged from mainstream schools.

Who are disengaged students. They are students who drop out because of academic

failure, behavioral problems, and life issues; many more stay in school but drop out in their

heads — gradually disengaging from what schools have to offer. They are the ones who

graduated from high school but are unprepared for life-long learning.

This flexible learning options (FLO) are young people who have disengaged from school

and who may be experiencing:

 anxiety and depression

 bullying

 unstable accommodation

 family difficulties

 pregnancy or parenting.

As part of the FLO, teachers may assess the performance of the learners base from activities

intended for them. We teachers to this to:

 develop a flexible learning and transition portfolio

 give access to learning and other programs.
