If you just want the answer to "what is the best material" and don't want to deal with the bullshit, here it is. Link to the Main Spreadsheet

I can't believe I had to double the font size and make it red for people to not ignore this...
For weapons, most of them can be replaced by Nihilite as soon as you get it, it's without a doubt the most broken material in the pack. But since it's a material
you'd only get around endgame, I'll mostly exclude it from this spreadsheet.

These three types of swords have been compiled together since it's only the type of guards that are different which determine their stats. Personally I recommend a Longsword for early and mid-game to one-
shot mobs easily, and once you get access to Nihilite, get a Rapier with Nihilite on it and start stacking. If you're gonna have near-infinite damage anyway, and infinite durability with Steeleaf, then the only
thing you can invest into is Attack Speed.

Notes
This is a utility-based Mattock you can make early-ish that goes in your off-hand. Cobalt makes your tool decently fast, Pigiron will solve the problem of you constantly starving in this modpack, the Glowing
modifier makes torches redundant, and Steeleaf makes the tool essentially Unbreakable. Additionally, while you have a Pickaxe in your main-hand, you'll automatically mine with the Mattock in your off-hand if
you run into any dirt while mining. This also works for Sand and Wood, but for some reason doesn't work for Gravel. Most likely a bug.

A standard Hammer for efficient strip-mining underground. Complete with Global Traveler, Steeleaf, Unnatural and Momentum alongside Lumium's Glowing to automatically light things up. It's recommended to
add only one of the Height/Width expanders since adding both makes you mine in a cross shape, while adding one only makes you mine a 3x5/5x3 rectangular area. If you want to mine even faster and you
have the utility Mattock, you can replace the Lumium Plate with Solarium.

A fast Lumberaxe/Excavator with infinite durability if you've Embossed Steeleaf. Global Traveler from Alumite makes mining sessions less messy and you can even switch out the Plate for Autosmelt if you want
Charcoal/Glass. Your mining speed should more than double with the Unnatural trait if your mining level is Vibranium.

Notes
High damage Cleaver that stacks every single damage trait to maximize damage. Unfortunately Restonia and the other Actually Additions materials have been disabled in this pack so we'll have to make do
with the other materials stacked on top of Dragonsteel. Terrax isn't really used because the Cleaver's low attack speed makes consistently proccing any buffs whatsoever a little tricky. Better to just one-shot
your enemies with raw damage.

Large Blade #2 (Head) Best = Osgloglas All hits on players and bosses are Crits.

Notes
Pretty much the same parts as the Cleaver. One good thing about the Katana is that it doesn't have an action hogging the right mouse button, so you can pair it with ranged weapons in your off-hand like a
Bow or Shuriken. Its attack speed also surpasses every other Sword except the Rapier. If you wanna use this for bosses I recommend Embossing Terrax instead since the high attack speed of the Katana
allows this to proc a good amount of buffs. You melt everything if you're lucky enough to proc the Strength buff
Laser Gun
Material Special Bonus'
Laser Medium Best = Refined Glowstone Best damage (10) and best range (40)
2nd Best = Fluix Crystal Great damage (7) and decent range (16)
Pipe Piece (Head) Best = Ice Dragonsteel Highest base damage, freezes enemies in a block of ice
Battery Cell Best = Manyullyn 120,000 RF capacity and +50% damage to targets at full health.

Makes your tool regenerate durability if you have Steeleaf in your hotbar - a full stack of Steeleaf Blocks can make
Embossment Best = Steeleaf

Notes
The Laser Gun may deal "ranged" attacks but it's considered a melee weapon. It can damage Withers below 50% HP. Also, since it needs you to point in the direction of a mob to fire, the Illuminati trait from
Refined Glowstone (which highlights mobs through walls) is a huge help to this. You can easily kill mobs through walls thanks to it. You can use Fluix Crystals in the meantime but once you have access to
Refined Glowstone it's definitely worth switching over to it.

Notes
The basic Shuriken for early-to-mid-game. Good for mobs and bossing, and Global Traveler doesn't leave all the clutter from mob drops since you can either bind it to an inventory or a trash can if you don't
need the drops. I initially thought Ice Dragonsteel was the highest damage non-endgame material, but apparently the Fractured II flat damage boost from Dragon Bone yields a higher base damage than it. You
can later transition this into the Nihilite Shuriken below once you have access to it. Note: Embossing Terrax and having Signalum/Manyullyn as the primary part actually yields a slightly higher damage value,
but there's currently a bug with TAIGA that makes it so that Terrax Tool Parts can't be Embossed.
Bow Limb #2 Best = Supremium Damage (7.32) - Range (2.35) - Drawspeed (0.75 sec) - Durability (5,520)

Notes
Simply put, certain materials like Bloodwood, Plastic and Reinforced Pink Slime for some reason have an unnaturally low drawspeed. You can essentially rapid fire arrows all day and not run out of durability
thanks to Steeleaf. Parts like Plastic and Reinforced Pink Slime have absurdly high range, which also makes the bow's projectiles insanely fast, similar to the effects of the Endspeed trait, effectively making
your projectile hitscan. Note that the Flamestring's Naphtha modifier gets canceled out if you use an Ice Dragonsteel Arrow Tip.

Notes
This Arrow combined with the Bow above can absolutely shred even Stage 5 Dragons in seconds. I didn't include Nihilite as the best material because it's a material only accessible after you've unlocked Tier 5
Quests and have been to Mars. For those who don't know, Nihilite is essentially an infinite damage-stacking modifier, which without doubt snuffs out any sort of competition the other Arrow Head materials
can offer. If you do plan on replacing your Arrow Head with Nihilite, then maybe consider using TNT as the base shaft and Emboss with Dragon Bone, so that you can replace the TNT Shaft with Enderium down
the line to make your insta-kill Projectiles more reliable while still keeping the multiple projectiles from Dragon Bone.
Update: There is currently a bug with Nihilite that makes it so that the bonus damage doesn't apply to the Arrowhead, unfortunately this is the strongest the Bow and Arrow can get. If you truly want a
ranged weapon with infinite damage, go for the Shuriken in the guide below.

This Shuriken may start a little slow at first, but eventually thanks to Nihilite it'll outscale the Bow and Arrow above. Unfortunately this is due to a bug where the bonus damage from Nihilite doesn't seem to
affect the Arrow's damage. To stack the bonus damage on this Shuriken just put it in an Extra Utilities Mechanical User in front of a mob farm and AFK for a bit.

Notes
The way this Cleaver works, is that it stacks flat damage via Fractured II, Jagged (at 1 Durability), Diamond, Quartz and the base damage of the weapon to boost the Spiky damage from Cactus. The reflected
damage when being hit pierces a portion of armor like the vanilla Enchantment "Thorns" and doesn't consume durability unless you swing it. Dual-wielding two of these Cleavers doubles the reflected damage.
It's highly recommended you stack some defense to survive the initial hit and let the reflect insta-gib whatever hit you. If you're using this Cleaver for early game, note that it works even if you block the
damage with a Cactus Battlesign. The best materials for the Sign can be found below.

This is the more defensive option to pair with the Riposte Cleaver for early game when your defenses aren't that good yet. As mentioned above, the reflected damage of both tools combines as long as both
have the Spiky Trait. Blocking attacks from mobs will instantly kill the mob if you have enough reflected damage, and you'd be completely fine.

[27] This is even worse than the trait that can hold 5 fruits.
[28] Fastest mining speed a 1/2 heart and slowest mining speed at 10 hearts. DOES NOT continue to slow
down mining speed above 10 hearts.
[30] Tool only charges when you're holding it. Off-hand works too.
Sprinting ~45 blocks charges your tool. Breaking 5-6 blocks or 3-4 hits on a mob also charges your tool.
WHEN DISCHARGING:
Swords give Speed V for 3 seconds and does +4 or +5 extra damage (I think) on the initial discharge hit.
[31] Effect works both when holding a tool, or blocking with a Battlesign (blocking negates damage to
yourself while also damaging the attacker).
[32] Damage is only additive to the mob you're attacking. So if you get 5 hits on 1 mob, then switch to
another, the bonus will reset.
However, the bonus is a per-mob thing. If you get 7 hits on one mob, then go kill something else, the bonus
damage will remain on the first mob until you kill it.
However, I did use some sponge wide guards on some of the tools while testing the traits that give status
effects. That way, I could see exactly how much damage the status effect did, without the damage of the
tool itself.
The tool starts out earning +0.025 mining speed per durability lost, but slows down a lot to a 'soft cap'. It's
hard to get the bonus to above +10 mining speed.
[35] The more steeleaves you have in your hotbar, the faster it repairs.
[36] Useful on a sword since most combat takes place outside Twilight Forest.
Once you're finished defeating bosses in the Twilight Forest, it is no longer useful on a pickaxe.
Has no effect on mining speed outside Twilight Forest, or Attack Damage inside Twilight Forest.

The tool starts out earning +0.025 mining speed per durability lost, but slows down a lot to a 'soft cap'. It's
hard to get the bonus to above +10 mining speed.
[94] When the mob is taking wither damage, it's hard to get another hit in between damage ticks.
[95] This applies to any block that when placed into a vanilla furnace will change into another item.
[96] The higher the level of Magnetic, the further the reach.
[97] Tool only charges when you're holding it.
However, I did use some sponge wide guards on some of the tools while testing the traits that give status
effects. That way, I could see exactly how much damage the status effect did, without the damage of the
tool itself.
[99] I guess it's good against cave spiders or witches, but how often do you come across those?
[100] All blocks mined can give XP even if they wouldn't normally give any. XP ranges from 1 level to 5
levels per 64 blocks
A tool made 100% from Magical Wood has 75 durability. 1/75 squared is a 1 in 5,625 chance of the tool
breaking even if it is unbreakable.
Hit 1: 1 Durability
Hit 2: 1 or 2 Durability
Hit 3: 2 Durability
Hit 4: 2 Durability
Hit 5: 2 Durability
Hit 6: 3 Durability
Hit 7: 3 Durability
Hit 8: 3 Durability
Hit 9: 4 Durability
Hit 10: 4 Durability
All consecutive hits after: 4 Durability
Not hitting for about 3 seconds resets it and starts at 1 durability again.
[103] The starting chance is 1:60K to take damage. After holding the weapon for 6 updates, the chance
reduces to 1:1K, then 1:100, etc. While NOT holding the tool, after 6 updates the chance is 1:10k, then 1:
5k. The curse number appears on the tool's tooltip. Divide 60K by that number to see your chance of taking
damage.
[104] This tool plays the music as actual music, and not as a jukebox. So if your music volume setting is at
0%, you won't hear any music.
[105] This is even worse than the trait that can hold 5 fruits.
