This document summarizes Article III Section 1 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution which guarantees due process and equal protection under the law. It then provides a personal anecdote where the author's uncle accidentally cut someone and was attacked by their family, but was protected by his sisters' knowledge of the law. The uncle was imprisoned for a week as punishment. The author reflects on how some people do not fear the law and will seek revenge, but hopes goodness will prevail in the end.

Bill of Rights of the 1987 Philippine Constitution @ompad_stephhh "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws."

ARTICLE III SECTION 1
"No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or
property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws." No one's life, liberty, or property shall be taken from him or her without due process. According to the Constitution, no one shall be denied due process of law, nor shall any person be denied equal protection under the law. Citizens have the right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures of any kind and for any purpose, and no search warrant or warrant of arrest shall be issued unless upon probable cause, which shall be determined personally by the judge after examination under oath or affirmation of the complainant and any witnesses he/she may produce, and specifically describing the place to be searched and the persons to be searched. The complainant's oath or affirmation, as well as any witnesses he or she may produce, specifically describing the location and persons to be searched for. ARTICLE III SECTION 1
The reason why I want to address Article 3, Section 1 is
that this is actually a sensitive topic, but this happened a month ago. It's about my Tito, who accidentally cut the left ear of my other distant relative. When that happened, my tito hid for his own safety purposes because he and everyone knew that the family of that distant relative guy were fearless and powerful in their place. My Tito returned a few minutes later because he wanted to surrender, but when he returned, the families of those distant relatives were waiting for him to take a revenge. Some of the guys were holding big stones, sharp wood, and even guns, as if they were going to kill my Tito. Believe it or not, but the truth is that they are fearless and, for them, life is nothing. But luckily, my sisters were there to protect my Tito. They didn't have the strength to fight those guys, and my Tito was a little bit paralyzed, but they had knowledge about laws, and my sister said to them, "Whatever happens to my Tito right now, you will all pay in the name of the law." When the police men came, everyone relaxed a little bit, but the urge to kill my Tito still possessed them.
ARTICLE III SECTION 1
The brother of that "distant relative guy" punch my Tito
because of anger. But still, it's wrong because my Tito surrendered already. My Tito paid the price. He stayed at the prison for a week. And now we are still processing the case of my Tito.
So, I chose "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty,
or property without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of the laws." It's somehow related to the case of my Tito, and I realized there are people who aren't scared of the law. If they want to get revenge, they'll get revenge no matter what. But at the end of the day, goodness will rise up and those bad guys will pay the price of what they did. Lastly, vengeance belongs to God, not to us.
