Students learn a lot at school, but they can also benefit
from other activities organised by the school. One of
these can be an exchange with a school from another
country. Students can learn about other cultures and
traditions, as well as improve their language skills. In
Europe, most exchange students speak English with
the students they meet. This is because most countries
teach English as the primary foreign language at
school. Students have so much contact with English on
the internet, in films, and through music, that they can
usually communicate easily with people of other
nationalities.

abroad that is also interested. This can be difficult,
especially if your school is not in a very attractive
location. Students might not want to travel to a small
town where there isn’t much to see or do. However,
