Use the Initial Setup Wizard to Configure XG Firewall

You will use the initial setup wizard to configure the Sophos XG Firewall London
Gateway 1. Once you have completed the configuration you will have Internet access
from London DC with basic security and filtering policies applied.

Review the information at each stage and follow the instructions to advance to the
next step.
Start
To connect to the WebAdmin, type https://172.16.16.16:4444 in the address bar of the browser then press Enter
This is the default IP address

 You will get a certificate warning, but it is safe to proceed

 Click the screen to start the initial setup wizard

 Enter and confirm the password Sophos1985
Select I accept the Sophos End User License Agreement and acknowledge the Sophos Privacy Policy

The XG Firewall will fail to connect to the Internet, click Manual configuration to configure the WAN interface

 We have configured the WAN interface with these settings
Click Apply and the XG Firewall will configure the WAN interface with the new settings

 Click OK
The XG Firewall will retest the Internet connection

 You can see that all of the tests were successful
Click Continue

 In the ‘Firewall Name’ field type lon-gw1.sophos.www
Then use the map to select the America/Chicago time zone

 Leave the time set as default

 Select I don’t have a serial number (start a trial)

Click Initiate License Synchronization to synchronize and download the evaluation license to the XG Firewall
