“My Little Panda Bear”

Materials
- 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- 4 different yarns calling for 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- stuffing
- 2 safety eyes 7 mm

My Little Panda Bear turns out at a size of 18 cm with the yarn I used (sockyarn). If you are choose other
yarn with smaller ore bigger gauge the dolls measurements will change. So you have to correct the
eyes-size.

Yarns
I used the following yarns:

White for the head and body,


Regia Uni 4-ply, color 2080 (+/- 40 gr)
Black for the arms, legs, ears and eyespots,
Regia Tweed 4-ply, color 98 (+/- 40 gr)
Pink for the ears and scarf,
Regia Melange 4-ply, color 2242
Grey for the paws,
Regia Uni 4-ply, color 2070

Make a loop with white.

Break yarn and fill the head with soft stuffing material.

Snout
Make a loop with white.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.

3. 1 sc, 3x (2sc inc), 3 sc, 3x (2sc inc), 2 sc (18 sts)

Break yarn. Make sure you leave enough yarn to fix the snout onto the head. Fill the snout with soft stuffing and
place the snout between row 20 and 29 of the head. Embroider with black yarn a nose (use photo for reference).

Eyespots
Make a loop with black.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 4 sc in first st, 2 sc, 4 sc in next, 2 sc (12 sts)
3. 1 sc, 1 hdc + 1 dc + 1 hdc in next st, 7 sc,
1 hdc + 1 dc + 1 hdc in next st, 2 sc. (16 sts)
Break yarn and leave enough yarn to sew the eyespots onto the head.
Place the spots against the snout with 5 sc between (see photo for
reference). When the eyespots are sewn onto the head remove the filling of the head. When its done place the
safety eyes.

Body
Make a loop with white.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)

4. 6x (1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 sc) (24 sts)

Fill the leg with stuffing material. Tie-off and make another one.

To connect the legs onto the body take a long piece of grey yarn, put the needle through the top of the leg
(between round 4 and 5 counted from the top), then through the body (between row 13 and 14) and then through
the 2nd leg. Go the same way back through the body and leg. Repeat this and fasten off. In this way, the legs
remain movable.

Paws
Make a loop with grey.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 4 sc in first st, 2 sc, 4 sc in next st, 2 sc (12 sts)
3. 1 sc, 3x (2sc inc), 3 sc, 3x (2sc inc), 2 sc (18 sts)
4. 2 sc, 3x (2sc inc), 6 sc, 3 x (2sc inc), 4 sc (24 sts)
5. 3 sc, 3x (2sc inc, 1 sc), 6 sc, 3x
(2sc inc, 1 sc), 3 sc (30 sts)

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the
paws onto the feet. Make another one.

Toes
Make 6 pieces. Make a loop with grey. Make 6 sc in the yarn
loop and tighten the loop. Break yarn and make sure you leave
enough yarn to sew the toes onto the feet.

Arms
Make a loop with black.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts)

Fill the arms with stuffing material and sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (sc 7) after it’s done break yarn and make
sure you leave enough yarn to attach the arms onto the body. Make another one. Sew the arms onto the body.

Ears
Outside ear (make 2 of them)
Make a loop with black.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 5. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 6x (30 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts) 6.-8. 30 sc (3 rounds)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts) 9. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 6x (24 sts)
4. (sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc) 6x (24 sts)

Sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (slst 12) after it’s done break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to attach
the ears onto the head.

Inside ear (make 2 of them)


Make a loop with pink.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 4 sc in first st, 2 sc, 4 sc in next st, 2 sc (12 sts)
3. 2x (1 sc, 2sc inc), 2 sc, 2x (1 sc, 2sc inc), 2 sc (16 sts)
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to attach
the pieces in the ears. Place the ears between round 8 and
18 of the head.

Scarf (crochet)
Use a 3 mm (US 2 ½) hook. Make with blue yarn a foundation chain of 50 cm (21,5 inches).
Crochet 1 round hdc, 1 ch and turn work around, 1 round sc, 2 ch and turn work around, 1 round hdc.
Finally add some fringe at both ends of the scarf.

Scarf (knitting)
Use 3,0 mm (US 2 1⁄2) needles.
Count on 8 sts on 3,0 mm (US 2 1⁄2) needles.
1. row p first row (WS) – turn
2. row k next row (RS) – turn
Repeat in stockinette stitch until scarf measures 50 cm (21,5 inches). Bind off with RS facing and break yarn.
Finally add some fringe at both ends of the scarf.
