Aicha Kandicha opening scene script

EXT. ALARISH, QATAR – sunset

(Sound of wind howling and beach waves)

The screen opens to an establishing shot showing the location,

MAHDI (a teenage boy) walking by the coastal sea (isolated)
wearing casual clothes (jeans and hoodie), coupled with his
casual facial expression. MAHDI took the LIGHTER out of his
pocket to smoke, as he’s about to smoke…… he witnesses
something.

A RUSTLING of the trees grabs the attentions of MAHDI. His

surprised face keeps looking back and forth to the direction
of the sound. He spots a shadow in the distance and fixates
his gaze. He took his torch out of his pocket, AICHA,
Enchanting MAHDI with her beauty, stands alone with her face
half covered. She walks slowly and elegantly with her eyes
connecting and holding her gaze to MAHDI’s, enticed.

MAHDI
(In a quiet tone)
Wow

MAHDI getting closer. AICHA turned and started

walking away from him.
MAHDI

Excuse me?

Aicha begins walking faster. Her footsteps amplify. MAHDI

begins walking in her direction. Aisha begins walking through
the alley ways. MAHDI went after her and they kept on walking
(JUMP CUTS)

A CUT, shot of the moon and beach, showing its nighttime

EXT. ALLEY – NIGHT

The moon is glowing in the night. AICHA carries on walking

through the night with MAHDI following her. (JUMP CUTS). AICHA
reaches a battered and old building. No windows, no doors.
Just brick on top of brick, old and dingey.
INT. AICHA HOUSE – NIGHT

Aicha enters her half broken, very old looking house. MAHDI
follows from behind catching his breath and enters behind her.
Aicha has her back to him. A bewildered and concerned look
clouds MAHDI’s face. Skeletons, skulls, blood, a rotten
chopped human hand are all that surrounds him. He grows pale
in the face, and that’s when he saw her half animal body.

Aicha slowly turns around with a cracked and creepy smile to

face a petrified MAHDI. She stares into his eyes. MAHDI
attempts to smile. His eyes begin to lower. He notices the
feet of Aicha and stares abruptly with shock and disgust at
revealing her donkey’s feet.

MAHDI takes a large gulp. Sweat beads trickling down his

temples in an extreme close up to close up shot showing his
facial expression. He looks right and left, slowly. SILENCE
grows. (ZOOM MOVEMENT)

Mahdi begins to feel his pockets and realises his lighter is

there. He takes a breath, lifts his face and smiles (walking
towards her, putting his hands on his pocket acting normal).
While getting closer he lights the lighter and throws it on
her.

AICHA
(animal scream)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Meanwhile MAHDI starts running for his life (A non-diegetic

music)

EXT. ALLEYS – NIGHT

MAHDI exits Aicha’s house (tracking movement) showing the

alleys agin.

MAHDI running as fast as he can escaping,(the camera films him

from the back)Mahdi keeps on running until he trips over an
really old door. He looks up, Aisha’s knife is in his
face(cliffhanger)
