INGREDIENTS

 2 cups Glutinous Rice


 2 cups Water
 2 cups Coconut Milk
 2 cups Brown Sugar
TOPPING

 Latik
 Banana Leaves, lightly heated

PREPARATION TIME : 5 minutes

COOKING TIME : 40 minutes

1 Wash the glutinous rice, set in a pot and add the water.

2 Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down to simmer until the liquid is fully absorbed by the rice.

3 On a separate pan over medium heat, dissolve the brown sugar in the coconut milk, let it boil until thick.

4 Add the cooked rice and mix until very thick consistency.

5 To assemble, place the banana leaves at the bottom, and brush with oil, spread the sticky sweet rice on
the leaves and flatten evenly.

6 Cut in squares (if using square serving dish) or like a pizza (if on a round dish), spread the latik on the
center of each slice.
Binignit

Ingredients:
1 pc white gabi (substitute cassava if available), cubed
1/2 cup sugar
2 pcs yellow camote (sweet potatoes), cubed
1/2 tsp salt
1 pc ubi (no substitute), cubed
4 tbsps landang or tapioca
4 pcs ripe cardaba (or semi-ripe plantain), sliced
2 cups coconut milk
1 cup coconut milk, diluted with water

Procedure:
1) Cook gabi, camote, ubi, and cardabang saging (or plantain bananas) in
diluted coconut milk.
2) Add sugar, salt, and landang (or tapioca).
3) Simmer until all ingredients are tender and mixture is thick.
4) Add 2 cups coconut milk.
 Cook in medium heat.
5) Do not boil or liquid will curdle.
 Adjust amount of coconut milk to your available ingredients.
6) Serve hot.
. Turon or Fried Banana Roll Recipe 

INGREDIENTS:

 5 saba (Cardaba banana) cut in half lengthwise 


 10 pieces spring roll wrapper
 1/2 cup ripe jackfruit (langka) cut into wide strips (optional)
 brown sugar for coating
 cooking oil enough for deep frying 

HOW TO MAKE TURON

 Roll each sliced saba banana in brown sugar.


 Place the coated sliced banana in the spring roll wrapper.
 Add 2 pcs of jackfruits strips. 
 Wrap and roll into shape of an egg roll.
 Heat the cooking oil in a pan. 
 Fry in deep oil. Sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the turon.
 Fry until the color turns golden brown.
 Remove from pan and put in a strainer to drain the oil. 
 Serve hot. Enjoy!
