Running head: ANALYING THE IMPORTANCE OF DIVERSITY IN WORKPLACE 1

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIVERSITY IN WORKPLACE

Diversity in the workplace has evolved into more than a fact; it has become a mindset.
Individuals and corporations that embrace and capitalize on the uniqueness of those around
them have experienced the greatest growth and profitability in the twenty-first century.

Diversity has evolved into more than a strategic corporate requirement. To survive and scale
a firm, it has become a necessary mindset for not only business leaders, but also everyone
associated in the company.

The Importance of Diversity

It has been proven that having a varied group of people of various genders, ages, cultural
origins, experiences, and sexual orientation has a favourable impact on three separate but
interconnected parties: employees, consumers, and business partnerships.
1.The Employee
Your employees will benefit the most from a diverse workforce. At its most basic level,
having a diverse group of people from many walks of life fosters mutual respect and aids in
the formation of an efficient team. Conflict resolution is far more effective in organizations
that foster diversification, and as a result, employees are more engaged, productive, and
produce higher-quality work. This could be because, according to a Harvard Business School
research, intercultural networks foster creativity and problem-solving beyond the box.

2.The Customer
Your clients will benefit greatly from a diverse team. For starters, they will profit from
having a cohesive team of employees. Having a diverse crew also means that your consumers
will have an easier time finding someone with whom they can connect. This improves a
company's customer reputation.
There are two major advantages to this:
(a) The consumer will tell others about his or her great experience, which will assist to
develop your brand.
b) Working for a company that is well-liked will raise employee morale and keep them
motivated.
This has a circular effect: the employee works hard to make the client happy; the customer is
happy and promotes the firm, and the employee feels rewarded and motivated to offer
excellent customer service.

3.Business Partnerships
This, like a firm's clients, is primarily reliant on how individuals can relate to your
organization. The bottom line in realizing a company's full potential is diversity. Having a
varied personnel and leadership team makes you more approachable to a wide range of
different firms. In fact, according to a recent McKinsey study, organizations with diverse
executive boards have significantly higher earnings and returns on equity than those that do
not.
