Professor: Mr. ROMULO CARLOS Course: CHRISTIAN MORALITY

Instruction: Answer and explain the following questions with not more than 5 sentences each.

1. How do you associate the golden rule with the ten commandment? Correlate the essence of
both moral tenets by citing real life scenarios or experiences through analogy.

From my perception, golden rule is connected with the ten commandments in a way that
they can be use to improve and enhance human nature particularly diminishing regressions, sins,
and mistakes wherein it can give human a meaningful life with great tranquility, spectacular
experiences and good life. They are fundamental philosophical truths and principles that have
been expressed in many ways by several people throughout history and may be utilized to
influence human behavior in a variety of scenarios. They are also related to each other and
almost the same due to the fact that when Jesus eventually presented the Great Commandment as
having the same perspective as the Golden Rule, He made it clear that our connection with God
was the most important aspect of it all wherein Jesus stressed that "no commandment is higher"
and that it is the path to eternal life. For instance, Golden and rule and following the ten
commandments during this election is quietly momentous wherein we can apply the golden rule
by treating others the way we want to be treated ourselves and if we would like people to treat us
with respect, then we should make sure to treat them with respect too by respecting and listening
to their political views, do not questioning to their decisions, employing accurate and truthful
language that communicates my opinion without exaggerating others and most importantly don’t
distort or cancel their perspective. In conclusion, if you want others to regard and
appreciate you, you must respect others' life as well and with that, you shouldn't have to do to
anyone what you do not even do to others to you wherein it describes the connection between the
two; if you have faith, trust and fear to God, you will indeed be accompanied by God's
commandments as well as the Golden Rule, which will definitely direct your life to the correct
path.

2. What does the bible say about the best law which applies or summarizes the 10
commandments? Why?

Based on what I understand from my research, the greatestt commandments and best law
which applies and summarize the then commandments is cited in the Mark 12:28-31wherein
when one of the scribes went near and did hear them making an argument, he asked Jesus,
"Which commandment is the first of all?" Jesus replied, "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel: the Lord
our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your
soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' wherein he also said that There is no
other commandment greater than these.".Most christian churches believes that these two to
constitute the basis of the Christian religion, and the second commandment is regarded as a type
of the Golden Rule. The scribe appreciated this response since it was thoroughly based in the Old
Testament and underlined two key passages wherein the first is talks about loving God and this
was something that every Israelite was well-versed in and every day, they repeated it. The most
crucial mandate was to love God with everything that you are, and the second verse "love your
neighbor as yourself." God desires love for himself as well as love for others but one must come
first and loving others as you love yourself stems from loving God with all of your being.

3. Why are the 10 commandments important for morality?

The ten commandments are the greatest law that human must follow for their morality
and righteousness. God guides us in a variety of ways in living a righteous and moral life. He
offers us grace, which develops in us the desire to exercise self control, resist temptation and sin
and to pursue only what is good, right and acceptable. He also teaches us how to live. He

accomplishes this in part by enacting laws to govern our activities. The Ten Commandments are
laws revealed to us by God.Following the instructions God offers us in the Ten Commandments
will help us know how to serve God and how to live with each other. It also encourages us to be
responsive to the Holy Spirit's grace and what God can do in and through us through that grace. It
also serves as guiding principles for our actions and decisions which is beneficial in every
aspects in our world to have a meaningful and decent life.

4. Do you consider the 10 commandments as the ultimate moral codes?why?

From my perspective, the 10 commandments are absolutely significant when it comes to

moral and ethics that's why I considered them as ultimate moral codes due to the fact that they
transmit strong moral standards that should serve as a framework for how we view our own
moral aspirations. These commandments are significant guidelines from God that tell us
Christian how to live and they will guide us in our daily lives and all we do. They are also a
mirror through which we may perceive reality, and our imperfections represent the presence and
existence of external truth. They will also help individuals to become better people today, help
them on how treat other people with respect and guide them to love and worship God
effectively. Conclusion, there can be no moral objectivity without God, and we can't grasp
morality absent natural laws or God's commands.
