Push start button, the 8-segment code display will show the count down from 9 to 0.
Every count, a lamp will also light simultaneously (e.g. (COUNTDOWN, LAMP): (9 &
L9), (8 & L8), (7 & L7)...).When the countdown reaches to 0, all the lights will turn on. By

VII. Solution Description

When S1 is pressed, current flows towards the relay R1 and energize it. Once
energized, the normally open R1 closes and current flows through the switch on delay
T1 and relay R2 which energizes both of them. As such, this causes the normally open
R1 in the indicator ladder diagram to close and allow current to flow through and
energize the indicator light L9 (Yellow). At the same time, once R2 is energized this
causes the normally open R2 to close and allow current to flow towards the relays R13,
R14, R15, R16, R17, and R19. This causes the indicator lights A, B, C, D, F, G in the
countdown diagram to turn on which forms into a number 9. After 1 seconds has
passed, the indicator light L9 (Yellow) is still on while the current flows through the next
line as the make switch T1 closes. Once the make switch T1 closes, current then flows
towards the switch on delay T2 and relay R3 which energizes both of them. This also
energizes the indicator light L8 (Green) for 1 second. At the same time, the normally
open R3 closes and current flows towards the relays R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18,
and R19 which energizes these relays. In the countdown diagram, the indicator lights A,
B, C, D, E, F, G turns on which forms the number 8. After 1 seconds has passed, the
indicator light L8 (Green) is still on while the current flows through the next line as the
make switch T2 closes.

Once the make switch T2 closes, current then flows towards the switch on delay
T3 and relay R4 which energizes both of them. This causes the normally open R4, in
the indicator diagram, to close and allow current to flow and energize the indicator light
L7 (Red) for 1 second. At the same time the brake switch R4 opens which causes the
current to flow to the relays R13, R14, and R17 which energizes these relays. In the
countdown diagram, the indicator lights A, B, C turns on which forms the number 7.
Once 1 second has passed, the indicator light L7 (Red) is still on while the current flows
through the next line as the make switch T3 closes.

Once the make switch T3 closes, current then flows towards the switch on delay
T4 and relay R5 which energizes both of them. This causes the normally open R5, in
the indicator diagram, to close and allow current to flow and energize the indicator light
L6 (Yellow) for 1 second. At the same time the brake switch R5 opens which cuts the
current flows towards the relay R14. On the other hand, the normally open R5 closes
and current flows towards the relays R15, R16, R17, R18, and R19 which energizes
these relays. At the same time, the relay R13 is still energized. In the countdown
diagram, the indicator lights A, F, G, C, E, D will turn on When S1 is pressed, current
flows towards the relay R1 and energize it. Once energized, the normally open R1
closes and current flows through the switch on delay T1 and relay R2 which energizes
both of them. As such, this causes the normally open R1 in the indicator ladder diagram
to close and allow current to flow through and energize the indicator light L9 (Yellow). At
the same time, once R2 is energized this causes the normally open R2 to close and
allow current to flow towards the relays R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, and R19. This
causes the indicator lights A, B, C, D, F, G in the countdown diagram to turn on which
forms into a number 9. After 1 seconds has passed, the indicator light L9 (Yellow) is still
on while the current flows through the next line as the make switch T1 closes.

Once the make switch T1 closes, current then flows towards the switch on delay
T2 and relay R3 which energizes both of them. This also energizes the indicator light L8
(Green) for 1 second. At the same time, the normally open R3 closes and current flows
towards the relays R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18, and R19 which energizes these
relays. In the countdown diagram, the indicator lights A, B, C, D, E, F, G turns on which
forms the number 8. After 1 seconds has passed, the indicator light L8 (Green) is still on
while the current flows through the next line as the make switch T2 closes.

In the countdown
diagram, the indicator lights A, F, G, C, E, D will turn on
